For many of us, legendary Utah powder is reason enough to visit. But how about a gourmet dinner at day’s end or a down duvet piled high with pillows? We also have helpful hands waiting to unload your gear and an international airport minutes from the slopes. Consider this a personal invitation to come see us. There’s a lot more going on than our famous snow.

the best snowmaking systems in Utah, to offer

guests the most dependable conditions from the first

day of the season to the last. ’’—Chuck English, director of

mountain operations

it’s all aboUt the snow Utah’s feathery flakes fall on Deer Valley to the tune of 300 inches per year. Thank you very much, Mother Nature. But it’s what the resort does with the snow that sets it apart.

powder room Our snowmaking team starts making snow in October, building 15-foot-tall, 40-foot-wide piles, called “whales,” produced by 250 stationary snow-guns and 1,200 portable hydrants. The goal: create well-covered runs that can last until closing day. Then the grooming crew takes over, operating in two shifts nightly, combing the snow into manicured carpets of perfect corduroy.
