Hon’ble Minister of Finance in budget speech 2014-15 announced Bareilly, Lucknow (U.P) and Kutch (Bhuj-Gujarat) as new Mega clusters. The basic objec�ves are to assist the stakeholders in availing the facili�es set up with modern infrastructure at Block levels, Latest technology, Design innova�ons, Adequate training and Human Resource Development (HRD) and Appropriate market linkages. The guiding principle underlying the design of clusters would Create modern infrastructure and Integrate the produc�on chain in a manner that caters requirement of the handicra� ar�sans in the Clusters.Based on the recommenda�ons of the report of Diagnos�c-cum-Jus�fica�on study for the proposed interven�ons in the Bareilly Mega Cluster, technical-cum-marke�ng team visited different units, ar�sans, SHGs, manufacturing units at Block level in different clusters of Bareilly for technical understanding of the proposed So� and Hard interven�ons and their feasibility. With an objec�ve to implement the So� interven�ons, it is proposed to train the young entrepreneurs in Bareilly Mega Cluster for developing export skills such as how to start handicra� export, Design & Product development, Marke�ng and Export documenta�on. The dura�on of the course shall be 30 days / 144 hours. Renowned experts in relevant field shall undertake the course.

It is fully geared to cater to the need of the acute shortage of skilled manpower, faced by the Gem & Jewellery Industry.The ins�tute has a Research & Development Centre for the treatment of Ruby and Sapphires, which is one of its kind in India.IIGJ Jaipur is the first training partner of Na�onal Skill Development Corpora�on (NSDC) to impart training in various skill areas of Gem and Jewellery Sector.The Indian Ins�tute of Gems & Jewellery Jaipur was formally inaugurated on 13th December 2010 by the Hon’ble chief minister of Rajasthan Shri. Ashok Gehlot. Since then Ins�tute has made a humble but no�ceable progress. Chief Minister also laid Founda�on stone for the hostel building for boys and Girls on 18th August 2012. The hostel design of Hostel building is under process and construc�on will be opera�onal soon to accommodate 300 students. The hostel will be one of its kinds with facili�es to accommodate workers learning skills and managers learning management principles / entrepreneurship nuances.
To lead IIGJJ through vision, strategy and policies and be able to make social impact by serving the changing needs of G&J sector through training, educa�on and skill development in the globalized economy.To educate young genera�on on diminishing human values & ethics of our culture in the workplace scenario and improving the image of G&J sector in general public so that it a�racts young talent in joining it.
