Driver and Installation
Step 1 Insert the USB disk into the USB port of your computer.
(See Picture 1)
Step 2 Double click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop to open file
manager. (See Picture 2)
Step 3 Double click the "Removable Disk" icon to browse the USB disk.

Step 4 There should be six files in the USB Disk. First, double click the
"C++ Driver" folder to open it. (See Picture 4)
Step 5 Double click the "vcredist_x86.exe" icon to start installation.

Step 6 Check "I agree to the license term and conditions", then click
[Install] button continue. (See Picture 6)
Step 7 Waite for the installation to complete.
Step 8 Click [Close] button to complete the installation.

Step 9 Install "GoogleEarthWin.exe" (See Picture 9)
Step 10 Waite for the installation to complete.
Step 11 Connect the reader and USB cable to your computer.

Step 12 Install PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1.12.0 to your
computer.
Step 13 Click the [Next] button. (See Picture 13)

Step 14 Click the [Finish] button to complete the installation.
Step 15 Copy the folder "gps_client."

Step 16 Minimize the window.
Step 17 Paste the folder "gps_client" on the desktop.

Step 18 After the pasting process is completed, double click the "gps _
clinet" folder to open it.
Track Reading
Step 1 Connect the ring reader and USB cable to your computer.
Step 2 Open the "gps_client" folder and double click the "gps_client.exe"
icon to run the software.

* Flight path data files will be saved in the "db" folder.
Step 3 Select COM3 as the com port and click on connect. If connection
is successfully established, progress indicator on the right bottom of the
screen flashes and the two LEDs on the ring reader light up.

Step 4 Install the battery into the GPS tracking ring. (See Picture 4)
Reinstall the battery will reset the ring.
Step 5 Insert the GPS ring into the ring reader and make sure the blue
light is on. If the blue light does not light up, return to step 4 or change
the battery then try again.

Step 6 Specify a filename for the GPS data to be saved, as the shown
below with blue square. Then click on Track Reading icon to read the
GPS data from the ring.
Step 7 Once the file opens successfully, you can see the track from
Google earth and Google Map/open street Map.

Set Departure Time
Step 1 Go through Track Reading step 1 to step 5.
Step 2 Check the "Delete track history after track reading" option then
click [Track Reading] button to delete the GPS track data in the ring.
Step 3 If you want to reconfirm the operation, click the [Track Reading]
button again.

Step 4 Pick a date from the calendar and enter the departure time. Then
click on [Time Setting] button. (See Picture 3)
Step 5 After departure time is set into the ring, you can see
[Time Setting Successful] message marked with blue square and
[Set leave time successfully] marked with green square as shown below.
