Guidelines for the survey and data collection

First visit of the school

Go to school of selected village

Talk to head mistress about the survey and seek their cooperation

Please them what procedure is about?

Schedule a date for screening at their convenience preferably when attendance ismore in school

Distribute the informed consent forms to children of the age group

Ask them to bring with parent consent on the date of examination

On the examination (screening) day

Collect the informed consent forms and check the eligibility criteria in consent givenchildren

Ask for the appropriate place to conduct the examination

Place instruments and other materials, weight scale, height etc

Make easy follow of children to examination area and examine the children mouthfor dental Fluorosis

Record height and weight of the child

List the prepare of children examined each day

As a part of screening, if time permits give a health talk about Fluorosis

Follow up children examined for their household and question their exposure status

Maintain the log book and get signature and sealed from the school head after eachday

While asking the question please cross examine the either mother or father

Take sample of Jowar that is used

In the village collect the water sample for fluoride estimation
