Slate of Nominees for Alumni Association Board 2015-2016
The UNCG Alumni Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce the proposed slate of nominees for
Directors and Officers for the 2015-2016 year. Please review the following slate, and cast your vote electronically

New Board Members in 2015-2016
Michelle Schneider '91, '02 MPA (Central Region, term ending in 2018) works for Capital Development Services
in Winston-Salem, and previously worked in University Advancement at UNCG and at Habitat for Humanity of
Greater Greensboro. She is also a member of the Guilford Education Alliance and Guilford Enrichment Fund Boards
of Directors.
Pam Kontogiorgos '98 (Central Region, term ending in 2016) majored in Exercise and Sports Science at UNCG.
After several years as a personal trainer, she was a business analyst for American Express before founding College
Hill CrossFit, a business in Greensboro promoting wellness.
Tamara Kersey '98 (Eastern Region, term ending in 2016) is a manager of system support services at Blue
Cross/Blue Shield North Carolina, where she spearheaded a multi-million dollar, enterprise-wide software
implementation which afforded her the opportunity to build a business case for the organization's strategic goals.
Agnes Johnson Price '62, '71 MEd (Eastern Region, term ending in 2018) taught in the accounting department at
UNCG from 1981 to 1997, and before that at Southern High School. She has also shown leadership as an officer in
the Burlington Woman's Club as well as her church and other civic committees.
Whitney Michelle Hill '09 (Western Region, term ending in 2018) has been serving as a leader for the Alumni Club
of Charlotte, and has been involved in the Alumni Professional Development Series sponsored by Career Services,
Admissions events in the Charlotte area, and Homecoming.
Stacy Vogel '84 (Out of State, term ending in 2018) lives in New Jersey and is married to Tristan Vogel '84. Stacy
endowed the Bob Wineburg scholarship in social work (HHS), is a regular supporter to Spartan athletics and UNCG,
has attended several NYC alumni events including Industry Showcase, and is an active volunteer in her community.
Jennifer Mee Morris '86 (Out of State, term ending in 2017) majored in communications with a minor in Spanish.
She is an international flight attendant based in New York, and balances her flying time with volunteerism in the
Atlanta area, working with The Sandy Springs Education Force at her local public high school mentoring students in a
program known as Students Achieving In Life (SAIL) which has been very successful in encouraging those students
to pursue higher education. She is also on the leadership team for the Alumni Club of Atlanta. Jennifer lives in Atlanta
with her husband Keith and their two sons, Sam and Matthew.
Returning Board Members starting a second term in 2015-2016
Jackie Eugene Copeland '97 MPA (Western Region, term ending in 2018) is a waiver contracts manager at
Partners Behavioral Health Management and an accreditation consultant with the Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Previously he was an adjunct professor in Social Sciences at Winston-Salem State
University, and worked for Crossroads Behavioral Care as a compliance officer and as director of planning and
community development.
Kevin Barham '04 (Eastern Region, term ending in 2018) recently became the new Latin teacher at Broughton
High School in Raleigh. He previously was an instructor in English and Latin at Nash-Rocky Mount Early College
High School. He holds a B.A. in English and Classical Studies from UNCG and a M.Ed. in English Education from
North Carolina State University. His literary interests include Chaucer, Shakespeare, Renaissance literature and the
poetry of William Blake.
Justin Outling '05 (Central Region, term ending in 2018) is an attorney at Brooks Pierce in Greensboro, where he
represents companies and professionals in business disputes, as well as in white-collar criminal and regulatory
enforcement matters. Prior to joining Brooks Pierce, Justin attended law school at Duke University, served as a law
clerk to Federal Judge William L. Osteen, Jr., and was a lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York
City. Justin is also the Chair of Greensboro's Minimum Housing Standards Commission, the Chair of the UNCG
Alumni Association's Legislative Advocacy Committee, and a member of the UNCG Board of Visitors. He and his wife
Cora ('05) have two toddlers.
Erica Taylor Mizelle '02 (Out-of-State, term ending in 2018) is the marketing director for Banyan Communications,
a strategic, solutions-based health communications company with offices in Atlanta and St. Louis. Prior to joining
Banyan, Erica was a health communications and media relations specialist with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention in Atlanta, managing traditional and social media activities on behalf of the agency's Division of Violence
Prevention. An Alumni Association Board member since 2009, Erica served as Vice President from 2013-2014 and
as communication committee chair from 2012-2014, and is currently on the leadership team for the Alumni Club of
Atlanta.
Officers for 2015-2016
Jeff L. Collins '84 (Chair) is a graduate of UNCG's Bryan School. Jeff is a lifelong resident of Guilford County. He is
married to 1985 UNCG alumnae and current MLIS student Suzy Collins, and they have two adult children, Blair (24)
and Devon (18). Jeff has served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2011, filling multiple committee
assignments and most recently serving as President.
Jana Welch Wagenseller '76 (Vice Chair) is the President of her own consulting firm providing services in oncology
program development, clinical research auditing and policy development, and meeting and educational event
planning. She is retired from Duke University Medical Center and Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. Besides
being a Past President and the current Vice Chair of the Alumni Association, her volunteer work also includes the
School of Nursing Advisory Board and the 2015 Chancellor Search Committee for UNCG, and Homebound Ministry
of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mary Napier '68 (President) grew up in Albemarle, N.C. Following graduation from UNCG, Mary moved to the
Washington, D.C. area to work for the federal government. After a few years, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts,
where she had careers in finance, teaching, and health care information technology before retiring in 2005. Mary
earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNCG in 1968 and a Masters in Education from Boston College in 1974.
Mary is married to Steven Kesselman, and they relocated to North Carolina in 2005. She has been a member of the
Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2011.
Annette Vaden Holesh '80 (Vice President) graduated with a BS in Business Administration from UNCG, where
she was a Reynolds Scholar and worked at The Carolinian. Annette began her career in human resources after
graduation, earned an MS in Personnel from Winthrop University in 1982 and then joined SAS Institute where she is
a Principal HR Program Specialist. She holds the SPHR certification and has been involved in various professional
associations, serving as President at the local and national levels. Annette has been a Director on the UNCG Alumni
Association Board since 2012 and looks forward to continuing to serve in years ahead.
Dudley T. Bokoski '79 (President-Elect) majored in Economics and Political Science, and subsequently completed
the program for Management Development at UNCG. He served as an ad hoc member of the Finance Committee of
the Alumni Association before joining the board in 2011 as a representative of the Central Region. He has served on
both the Legislative and Awards & Nominations Committees and is currently Vice President of the Association.
Dudley is employed by the Postal Service as a Senior Operations Analyst. He lives in Greensboro.
Lida Lewis Coleman '78 (Treasurer) received her license in 1979 to practice public accounting in the State of North
Carolina. She is a founder and principal in the CPA firm of Coleman Huntoon & Brown PLLC in Chapel Hill, N.C. As a
volunteer, she currently serves on the Boards of Directors of several local, national and international not-for-profit
organizations.
Celia Hunter Dickerson '65, '91 EdD (Secretary) has served on the Alumni Association board for five years and
recently enjoyed her 50th Reunion. She holds both a B.A. in History and a Ed.D. in Educational Administration from
UNCG, as well as a M.Ed. in Special Education from UNC Chapel Hill. She has been a financial advisor for the last
15 years, and previously taught both in N.C. public schools and at the graduate school level, and been administrator
of the state's Governor's School and a charter school. She serves on various arts and non-profit boards and is an
active member of First Presbyterian Church in Durham.
