ACCORD Summit Principles of Transformational DevelopmentFrom Rhetoric to Reality: Creative Ideas for Living Out the Principles

“centrality of the church”... “addressing systemic issues”... “transparency in reporting our work”... “partnering with thecommunity”...

In 2011, the TD Summit focused on the creation of a draft set of principles that would become guideposts for Accord memberorganizations in engaging communities and churches in transformation. The 2012 summit will focus on creative examples fromNGO leaders on how their organizations meet the challenge of living them out. We will also spend some time discussing the“umbrella” terminology used for these principles both Transformational Development and Integral Mission. SLD will also collaboratewith the ACCORD Network to continue to develop spiritual metrics for development workers and other practitioneers. EasternUniversity is the lead agency for this Summit.
