Slewing Bearing Catalogue
SBT stands for Swiss Bearing Technology, where for our advanced bearings we are applying the same approachas used for the design and manufacturing of mechanical movements of Swiss watches which have made Swisswatches a symbol of quality and reliability. This allows us to supply bearings for most demanding industrialapplications.
One of the many bearing types which we are producing are slewing bearings which are the subject of thiscatalogue. Slewing bearings are one of our specialty bearings.
The main applications for our slewing bearings are in:
- Cranes (mobile cranes, pillar cranes etc.)- Construction equipment (excavators, loaders etc.)- Transportation machinery- Materials processing machinery- Car assembly robots and equipment- Metallurgical and food processing equipment- Military equipment (tanks, missile launchers, radar etc.)- Medical and scientific equipment- Seaport equipment- Windmills
The SBT Group of Companies is consisting of companies in Switzerland, China, India, Russia and Hong Kong.
Our quality objective is "zero defects". In order to meet this objective we are using advanced productionequipment and processes including continuous flow and JIT manufacturing and we have implemented andenforce a comprehensive Quality Management System including TQM and FMEA which does not only include theproducts in our production but all activities in the entire company. Static rating principally requires taking intoaccount the maximum occurring loads whichmust include additional loads and test loads.
Static safety factors (f e.g. for erection loads,higher test loads etc.) must not be reducedwithout prior written approval from us forexceptional cases.
The "f " values shown refer to rating formaximum operating load and have beenobtained from operating experience and tests.If a load spectrum with an assumed averageload is used to obtain the required full loadrevolutions, the service time values must beincreased accordingly.
For applications not listed in the chart,guidance values for similar operatingconditions and comparable applications maybe used.
Service life "L " is when service time in full loadand revolutions.
