IIMANIIMAN is “Belief or Faith” to something beyond sense

perception, termed as “ - al-ghayb” meaning “the

unseen”.

It is derived from the root word “ ” which also means

“safety, peace, security, protection”

It denote: “certainty of the ultimate truth”, adherence to it

instils sense of “security in him” from doubts, uncertainty,

restlessness etc.


Yet from Islamic perspective “iiman” cannot be by mere blind

acceptance devoid of proof or substantiation i.e. Believe or

faith must be with knowledge.


"And do not follow (pursue) anything of which thou "And do not follow (pursue) anything of which thou

hast no knowledge: verily (thy) hearing and sight hast no knowledge: verily (thy) hearing and sight

the truth and Reality of our existence, the reason for the truth and Reality of our existence, the reason for

Ever since Adam Ever since Adam a.sa.s., mankind has been promised by ., mankind has been promised by

Allah, guidance from Him. This is through His sending Allah, guidance from Him. This is through His sending

of Prophets and Messengers from Him.of Prophets and Messengers from Him.


We do acknowledge a category of people who We do acknowledge a category of people who

discover “discover “LawsLaws” in nature and regard them as reliable ” in nature and regard them as reliable

and their findings learnt, applied and continue to be and their findings learnt, applied and continue to be

taught.taught.

These are the people gifted with insights and inspired These are the people gifted with insights and inspired

with knowledge of the physical world. We called them with knowledge of the physical world. We called them

““ScientistsScientists”.”.


Yet there is another category of people, who came in Yet there is another category of people, who came in

different place and time, yet all claimed to receive different place and time, yet all claimed to receive

Divine communication, asserted similar universal Divine communication, asserted similar universal

message of God, of man’s moral obligation, of the life message of God, of man’s moral obligation, of the life

in Hereafter etc. in Hereafter etc.

They delivered a message which transcend knowledge They delivered a message which transcend knowledge

of this physical world, inviting mankind towards Faith of this physical world, inviting mankind towards Faith

in the One God. These are the “in the One God. These are the “ProphetsProphets.”.”


The word “Nabi” means

“prophet” refers to a male

person who receives divine

inspiration, to assist them

in guiding the people

based upon code of life

conveyed by earlier

Messengers (Rasul).

Meaning “preserved, protected from sinning against

Allah”, although they all have human frailties and

weaknesses.

We reject all falsehood and slander against every prophets

of Allah, upholding their honour and dignity. Especially

those found in the Bible.

This because Allah s.w.t. said:

THE PROPHET S.A.A.W. SAID:
