Do not equate this task (DA’WAH) as being similar with other kinds of professions. It is AMANAH as a mission and – not a vocation.

Remember, it has been carried out by an unbroken chain of DU’AT, faithfully linked to the Prophet Muhammad s.a.a.w.

This legacy is the foremost concern because DEEN-AL-ISLAM has been perfected and there will be no more new prophet sent to all mankind after our Muhammad s.a.a.w.

Every Muslim are to be developed towards assisting DA’WAH ISLAMIYYAH, in whatever capacity they attained, the most basic is to become Witnesses of Islam with their life for others.

AN-NASEEHAH – Sincere Advice


Each region may underwent its own unique history, experiences especially of “civilizational osmosis”. Therefore to have knowledge and true appreciation of their respective history, to benefit from the work of previous scholars and propagators, managing proper transmission of their work with ADAB, especially in learning adequately of Wisdom and experience gained by them, is imperative.

This is crucial – failure in fulfilling this is being ungrateful and can lead to (KHIYAANAH) treachery to the Prophetic legacy.

Remember, Allah SWT has stipulated the criteria for carrying it out.

AN-NASEEHAH – Sincere Advice




““O YOU who have attained to faith! Ward off from O YOU who have attained to faith! Ward off from

yourselves (i.eyourselves (i.e. save yourself) and those who are close . save yourself) and those who are close

deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah

will bring us together, and to Him is (Our) final goal.”

those who have taken your religion in ridicule and

amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture

should [truly] be believers.”

(Qur’an: Maa-idah: 5: 57)


““O YOU who have attained to faith! O YOU who have attained to faith! Why do you say one Why do you say one

“What! do you enjoin men to be good and neglect your

own souls while you read the Book; have you then no

Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in

Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah

often.”

(Qur’an: Ahzab: 33: 21)


““So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth.

And Allah affirmed :


“TRUTHFUL” Strive to be a person who is truthful, never to lie, and this

reflect a most basic but important attributes, towards developing

one’s credibility.



““O you who have attained to faith! Remain conscious of O you who have attained to faith! Remain conscious of

Allah, and [always] speak with a will to bring out [only] Allah, and [always] speak with a will to bring out [only]

what is just and true - [whereupon] He will cause your what is just and true - [whereupon] He will cause your

deeds to be virtuous, and will forgive you your sins. And deeds to be virtuous, and will forgive you your sins. And

[know that] whoever pays heed unto Allah and His [know that] whoever pays heed unto Allah and His

“TRUSTWORTHY” Strive to be a person who can be always depended upon, to be

trusted to fulfil whatever entrusted. This reflects the attribute of

honesty and justice, because the opposite is “khiyaanah” to

“betray a trust” is to dishonestly usurping or misappropriating a

right (HUQUQ) of others.


““O you who have attained to faith! O you who have attained to faith! betray not the betray not the

trust trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor of Allah and the Messenger, nor

“CONVEYING” To have the drive, passion, empathy and courage to deliver the

message, not just conveying good news and niceties, but to be as

steadfast and determined even if to convey the TRUTH which others

may dislike. Thus a Muslim must have good communicative skills,

committed to speak the Truth even in the presence of an unjust ruler.

This relates to an indispensable virtue of SHAJA’AH (Courageous)


““So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not

exchange My verses for a small priceexchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not . And whoever does not

judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are

“ASTUTE, SAGACIOUS, DISCERNING, etc.” This quality must be reflected in us, as Islam values

knowledge, wisdom, learning, thoughts, reasoning etc. In fact the

first FARDH (Obligation for Muslim) is for every male and female,

to seek knowledge and learning, from the cradle to the grave.

In fact Islam is sensible and for those who think, It is not for the

fools and the unreasonable.



““He (Allah) gives wisdom to whom He willsHe (Allah) gives wisdom to whom He wills, and , and

whoever has been given wisdom has certainly whoever has been given wisdom has certainly

been given much good. And none will been given much good. And none will

remember except those of understanding.”remember except those of understanding.”

““There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among

concernedconcerned over you, and to the believers is over you, and to the believers is kind and mercifulkind and merciful.”.”

“And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the

language of his people to state clearly for them, and Allah
