Lisdoonvarna, Co. ClareLisdoonvarna is a town in Co. Clare, famous for its music and festivals, particularly the annual matchmaking festival.

Clare is in the Mid-West Region of Ireland and the province of Munster, on the West Coast by the Atlantic Ocean. The largest town is Ennis and the closest city is Limerick City.

County Clare has a rich, traditional Irish culture, and is a popular tourist destination because of its landscapes and wild beauty. The county colours are blue and yellow, and the Gaelic football and hurling teams wear blue and yellow when they play against other Irish counties.

Clare is home to key sites including the Burren, a unique, rocky landscape which is habitat for an abundance of animals and plants as well as the Cliffs of Moher which is one of the most visited tourist sites in Ireland.

Ennis is Clare’s biggest town and one of the most charming, traditional towns in Ireland.

Lahinch in Clare is also a popular surfing destination.
