SMALL GROUPS: THE WHY BEHIND THE WHAT
God designed each of us with the need for relationship and connection with other people. The people of the early church, “...committed themselves to the teaching of the Apostles, the life together, the common meal and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42 MSG) Put simply; they walked through life together. Small Groups provide a great way to develop new relationships or strenghten existing ones. We all need people to celebrate our triumphs, comfort us in hardship and journey alongside us through times of uncertainty. Like those of the early church, relationships are not an option, they’re a necessary ingredient to becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus.
We already have many groups available for you to check out on Faith Connect. However, we would like to see new groups develop so we can connect more people at Faith Community.
If you would like to start a new group for anything from a Bible study, to cooking or even rock climbing, email Shelby Singler at: [email protected]
