ROUNDABOUT CLARKDALE
This holiday season take flight on a magical journey to the North Pole
aboard the Verde Canyon Railroad. This one-hour Christmas Train Ride
makes a perfect trip for adults, children and tots.
Prior to boarding the train families can tour a miniature village on a town square. Letters to
Santa can be dropped in a mail bag which are then delivered to the north pole. Santa’s
workshop is at the end of the train ride. Santa himself joins the train for the journey back to
Clarkdale.
The Christmas Train Departs every Saturday and Sunday from December 1st through 23rd at
5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Book your ride on the Christmas Train through the Verde Canyon
Railroad website at www.verdecanyonrr.com or call 1-800-582-7245.

FIRST FRIDAY—Nov. 2nd at 10AM. Guest Speaker: Minnie Tavasci. Many of you remember her as your kindergarten teacher at the Lower School. Some remember her as the wife of Paul Tavasci who operated the Clarkdale Dairy along with his brother John. At any rate, we are thrilled to have her as our guest. She has great memories of the early days of teaching in Clarkdale and life at the dairy. Coffee and cookies will be available!
CHSM is looking for a part time secretary for the Board of Directors. With the recent resignation of Linda Smith, we lost a key role in the operation of the 501(c)3 nonprofit and would like to offer the position as follows: Take minutes at all official board meetings and prepare minutes for approval at monthly board meetings (third Wednesday of each month). We are offering $12/hour for this position which would require 2-4 hours per month. If you are interested, please contact Cindy Emmett at [email protected]. We hope to fill this position as soon as possible.
