In order for Smart Access to work it is necessary to connect the ventilation unit to the Internet using the Smart Access module (accessory). The Smart Access module can be connected to an Internet network using a LAN cable or to a wireless network with the help of a WAN router. Using a 3G modem (SMAG) the installer or service engineer can utilise the functions in Smart Access with the help of a 3G/4G connection before the Internet installation has been installed.
