TROUBLESHOOTING & ALARMS
Troubleshooting
1. Unit will not power up or power is lost unexpectedly.
Double check all power connections and battery is switched to the “ON” position
2. Unable to control unit through manual interface
Device is in TCP/IP mode. First confirm you have closed any browser windows accessing the Smartaire over the network. Next, hold down “i” and “m” for 5 seconds, the message “rset tcpip” (Reset TCP/IP) should scroll across the screen and the local control should now work.
3. Yearly on board Battery Testing
Unplug the power connection from the unit and check that the alarm sounds for 10 seconds. Please contact Tate technical services if this is not the case within the first five years of operation.
4. LED is unlit
First, check that all cables are secured together and there are no breaks between the SmartAire MZ and the LED, then try turning it off and on again: hold the power button down until the unit powers down and then wait 10 seconds, then press the power button again. Contact Tate if the led still does not relight.
Warranty Refer to http://tateinc.com/ or contact Technical support for warranty terms and support.
Alarm Index
Note: All alarm conditions will cause SmartAire MZ to react by sounding an alarm, opening all zones fully and re-enabling any disabled zones. Additionally, if configured, an alarm email will processed and sent.
Alarm Description Resolution
Er01: Error 01 “Er01”
Error Flag 1 indicates a power failure scenario,
check PoE supply and all connections or Coaxial power connections
Er02: Error 02 “Er02”
Error Flag 2 indicates a high temperature warning, or the measured temperature at the sensor is 10°F or more above the set point.
Perform a factory default reset, and ensure temperature sensors are within 10°F of default set point of 76°F.
Er04: Error 04 “Er04”
Error Flag 4 indicates a sensor is functioning improperly or has become disconnected.
Check that all connections are secure, especially the primary temperature tree connector. If alarm persists, Perform a factory default reset.
If any alarm is persistent and the above steps has no effect, please contact Tate Technical support for further assistance
