INTRODUCTION: Smartphone device is one of the most widely used
technologies in the field of telecommunication. smartphone makes human lives easy.
First cellphone- Dr.Martin cooper(1973) First smartphone-IBM SIMONS(1995) In the past years people used to go to banks, offices or any other concerned

It is important to know how a smartphone works? A smartphone works on operating system. Operating system is also referred as the heart of the smart phone. Operating systems works on Arm architect- ture os is responsible for all the functions in a smartphone.
The movement of mobile phone operating system has rapidly increased to contain challengers such as Android, Symbian, Apple, BlackBerry, Microsoft, Palm, etc

processor when and how much time. which operation needs first Memory management: Operating System also Manages the
Memory of the smartphone means Provide the Memory to the Process and Also De allocate the Memory from the Process.
Mastermind: Operating System also performs Many Functions and for those Reasons we can say that Operating System is a Mastermind.
Multi tasking: Multi tasking is the technique of running several programs at a time.

Comparison:
What is the difference between computer
OS and Smartphone OS? Smartphone OS have a minimum number of system files and it's
system memory not vast and fast. But desktop OS have maximum number of system files.it's source
codes can't change .It's get a large space, processor and ram. But mobile OS haven't large memory ram and processor. It's can't run
several programs in same time .mobile OS is easy to learn. Desktop OS not easy to learn.
CONCLUSION: If we talk about today’s generation .the smartphone is the ideal technology. For developers operating system is an ultimate platform for developing applications innovatively. Without operating system we cannot run a Smartphone. Hence ,operating system is very important in smartphone.
