My opinion on smartphones Smartphones are different from ordinary phones in two fundamental ways: how they are build

and what they can do. The reasons why smartphones are classified and recognized easily is because the unique, different characteristics that most smartphones posses.

The first Smartphone was the IBM Simon, which was designed in the year 1992 and became a huge concept during that year at the COMDEX, the computer industry trade show in Las Vegas, Navada. The public had only known it in 1993 and was sold by BellSouth. It had a calendar, e-mail, games, address book, world clock, calculator, note pad, send and receive fax. It had no buttons to press numbers, instead consumers used a touch screen to select numbers with a finger or create facsimiles and memos with an optional stylus.

The Smartphone offers, connectivity, content consumption, and content creativity. This device is both personal, containing private information and public, providing a digital link to the rest of the world. Other characteristics include: mobile PC, enhanced hardware, and mobile OS.

Smartphones are taking over social engagement lives, with smartphones we are able to communicate better with our friends, family, colleagues and even people we don’t know. Smartphones also alter our daily lives and are easy to use. Although smartphones are incredible they still have a negative impact on people, for instance smartphones decrease productivity, they could ripe out your identity in terms of people posting naked pictures of you. Many people have died through social networking by meeting up with strangers and human trafficking, and also being exposed to pornography and posting private information on chat rooms for people you don’t know.

On the other hand smartphones do have a good effect on us, through smartphones we can send an e-mail using a Smartphone rather than using a computer or laptop. Smartphones help make better communication because you become more mutual at the workplace. They are is to carry, you can save and share important documents and also get to engage with your friends on a social basis. They also have an effect on education because smartphones can be also be used for learning. They can be used to set homework reminders, access relevant websites and transform electronic files between and home.
