SMARTREPEL® Hydro AM («All fibers / Microencapsulated»)

• Supplies a very good water repellent effect on all fibers

• Good wash durability on all fibers if applied in combination with Arkophob DAN

New (5-20% Arkophob DAN New liq refering to the dosage of Smartrepel

Hydro AM)

• Free of PFC, free of formaldehyde, free of organo-tin, free of APEO, free of

PBI

• No problems with roller build-up

• Improves technological properties of the treated fabric –

such as abrasion resistance and tear strength

• Low foaming, hence very good application properties

• It causes no yellowing

• Weakly cationic

Technical Recommendations – Pre cleaning

In order to reach the optimal performances of your protection you have to apply the products on a clean and core neutralized fabric.

Any residuals of alkalinity , oil, salts or others could dramatically decrease the initial performances and/or the durability of your finishing. You will find on below several prewashing options to perform.Option 1:

alkaline pre-wash

to remove residues

2 g/l Lufibrol®MSD liq.

2 g/l Soda Ash

40 - 60°C for 20 min

Rinse warm and cold

Option 3:

Removal of non-ionic

substances

0.3 g/l Kieralon® UH liq.

4 ml/l Acetic acid 60%

30 - 50°C for 20 min Rinse

warm and cold

Option 2:

acid pre-wash to remove

residues

1 – 2 g/l Lufibrol® MSD

Technical Recommendations - Products selection

• Kieralon® UH liq anionic detergent with dispersing and extraction properties

• Kieralon® F-MFB liq silicone oil remover for cellulosic & synthetic fibers and its blends

• Sirrix® NE liq neutralization agent to remove alkali and core neutralization

• Lufibrol® ANTOX liq sequestering & dispersing agent for all types of fibers & blends

• Lufibrol® MSD liq sequestering & extraction agent for cellulosic fibers & blends

• Imerol® PCLF liq wetting-, scouring- and washing agent for discontinuous process

End Users Recommendations - keep your protection durable

• Finished goods can be washed with standardprogram

• Don’t overdose the washing detergent

• Rinse well the goods

• Fabric softeners are not recommended

• Dryer sheets are not recommended

• Tumbler or ironing is recommended foroptimum function

• Air dry is never the best option fordurability. If for any reason, the fabric cannotbe ironed at standard temperature at least a 1point Ironing is enough to recover theperformances
