The Smartzone system has been developed by Argyle with key players in the industry, after analysing feedback on the challenges facing large plants operating different hygiene levels.

What we have come up with is an exciting, customisable set up that can be tailored to fit any circumstance requiring clearly identifiable PPE for different areas. This system can be set up to your specifications, and implemented on small or large enterprises at very short notice. Any colour scheme chosen can be duplicated and adjusted to suit any number of staff for future proofing your business.

Using colour effectively in a well-planned program helps improve food safety by preventing workers from mixing products that shouldn’t be mixed, keeping pathogens or allergens from travelling from one part of the plant to another. Plus, colour helps organise procedures in the workplace, enabling workers to make decisions quickly and more accurately.

Colour supports safe, efficient waste disposal and helps reduce waste in general. In areas including transportation, inventory, motion, and loss of product, certain colours have become standard: blue for seafood, red for High risk, green for produce, white for finished food and yellow for hazardous areas. Orange is sometimes used for allergens.
