Booster Club HKIS Booster Club, a volunteer run organization since 1994, operates and manages the Dragon Shop, and reinvests profits to support Dragon Athletics, extracurricular activities, and school spirit. Thank you to our HKIS community and your generous support through purchases of uniforms, school supplies, and other HKIS merchandise! 2016-17 Highlights Granted close to $400,000 to divisions, departments, teams, and clubs. Distributed 180 travel kits to students representing HKIS in athletic, academic and performing arts tournaments outside of Hong Kong. Celebrated the achievements of over 700 athletes and families who represented HKIS in 15 sports spread across 44 teams. Cut and gave out over 1,200 oranges during LP and UP field days, LP-MS buddy day, and the inaugural Turkey Trot. Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) In this special year of the 50th anniversary of HKIS, the PFO is thankful to receive generous support once again from the entire community — parents, faculty, students, alumni, administration of HKIS and even friends from the broader HK community. Our two biggest community-wide events, Pumpkin Festival and the World’s Fair, raised close to $900,000, with the support of over 450 volunteer hours from parents and students for each event. Donations for Teacher Appreciation Week added up to nearly 500 gift cards to our faculty and we welcomed over 450 new students from over 370 new families through our Parent-to-Parent Mentor Program. The PFO continues to fund valuable projects that support the SLRs. Highlights include a music artist-in-residence (International Week in LPS), a Maker Fair (UPS Imagine HKIS), mini classroom libraries (MS), enrichment talks, dancing lessons, Math and Science Center support, sport activities during spirit day (HS), and much more. We also awarded High School Merit Scholarships to eight deserving students from the Junior and Senior classes. Each scholarship is worth $12,500 for a total contribution of $100,000. We are proud that all PFO profits, over $700,000, go back to the school. Parent Faculty Organization (PFO)

In this special year of the 50th anniversary of HKIS, the PFO is thankful to receive generous support once again from the entire community — parents, faculty, students, alumni, administration of HKIS and even friends from the broader HK community.

Our two biggest community-wide events, Pumpkin Festival and the World’s Fair, raised close to $900,000, with the support of over 450 volunteer hours from parents and students for each event.
