What is SnkTrd?SnkTrd (Sneaker + Trade) is an e-commerce hub to buy, sell, or trade sneakers slated to launch November 29, 2013. This online marketplace allows sneaker-aficionados-both women and men to interact and engage across the US, through uploading pictures of their sneaker collections to sell in the marketplace.

Users are also given the opportunity to browse the SnkTrd shop and take advantage of a vast selection of products including sneaker inspired keychains to apparel from some of today’s top clothing brands.

SnkTrd offers a dynamic platform for people to congregate, share, and capitalize.

With premium brands such as Nike, Adidas, Air Jordan, and New Balance, SnkTrd is a trusted source to exchange authentic kicks while under the assurance that all transactions are safe and secured.

It’s free to join and create an account. Fees are minimal making it easy and affordable to sell items while making a profit and promoting entrepreneurship within youth of all ethnicities primarily ages 15-30 years old.

Being an active member of the sneaker culture since his teenage years, creator and founder, Thomas Mitchell, wanted to trans-form the platform in which this underground community interacts. Thus, SnkTrd was founded January 15, 2013.

“I was just tired of having eight tabs open at once while surfing the web for sneakers. It is my goal to create a space online where sneakerheads can co-exist in one location for hours, and I feel like SnkTrd is that place”, says Thomas.

SnkTrd FAQ’S What is SNKTRD?

SnkTrd (Sneak+Trade) is an online community for users to buy, sell, and trade sneakers.

What are the fees with joining SnkTrd?

It’s free to join and set up an account. Members pay for posting products. Sellers are charged a $1 posting fee and are given one week to accept on their item. There’s an 6% transaction fee on any purchase of $250 or less, and an 8% transaction fee on anything greater than $251 purchased. All shipping fees are at the discretion of the seller.

What types of payments are accepted?

All major credit cards.

Is there a limit to the number of sneakers people can buy or sell?

No.

Who authenticates each sneaker?

Brand Experts. These people are veterans and can detect an offset stitch, unknown to the ordinary eye.

Our profile page for members introduces a fully functional online community, bridging social media and e-commerce-- something that has never been done before within the sneaker online community that exists today. SnkTrd is a fully functional online community that works seamlessly in marrying the two worlds of social media and e-commerce.

With a profile page, members are prompted to upload their sneaker collection to be featured within the community. If a member wants to sell a pair of sneakers, they can select the item from their album and place share it in the marketplace. It’s effortless and easy to manage your sales while networking with other like-minded people.

The splash page is the very first page seen by a user when they come to Snktrd.com. Mem-bers are also given the opportunity to login with their Facebook or Twitter accounts.
