Snowmobiling is not allowed on the land sur face with the exception of the marked and groomed safety portage trails and the Chain of Lakes scenic trail. Obey speed limits - 25 mph on safety por tages and 45 mph on trails. Staked and groomed trails on the lake surfaces are checked for ice depth. Ice ridges are marked with two orange caution stakes. Use cau- tion when traveling off groomed trails. W atch for slush and ice pr es - sur e ridges. Obey signs on the lake surface that may indicate areas post- ed as closed for public safety, wildlife, or other management rea- sons.
