Google search is usually a simple “and” search.Boolean searches use other operators:1. And – both words included2. Or – either word must be present3. Not – item is deleted from search if word is present4. Adj – words must be side by side in order entered5. Near – words must be side by side in any order6. Near3 or Adj3 – words are separated by up to three words7. Same – words appear in the same field8. With – words appear in the same sentence9. Truncation symbols vary – check help file

1. Plant* or plant$ or plant# or plant? or plant!1. Plant or plants or plantation or planting or planted

2. Wom#n wom?n or wom*n1. Women or woman

10.Fuzzy logic1. Change, changed, changing, changes searched when change is

searched2. Mouse and mice is searched when mouse is searched

11. letter by letter searching 1. “ion” – ion or ions or ionization reaction cation anion

REFWORKSOff Campus Access Group Code RWMTA

Ways REFWORKS can be used:

1. Keep track of references2. Share references with a group3. Prepare bibliographies for papers, theses, and books4. Prepare lists of items from our library catalogue and elsewhere5. Prepare reading (read) lists6. Inserting references in a paper and preparing works cited (WNC)

Write-N-Cite is integrated with Microsoft Office 7. Keep track of, share, and store PDF files8. Merge lists and remove duplicates9. Style Guides from several hundred of publishers10. Mobile app – accessible from anywhere with Internet connection

PROLA The server was launched in 1998, with an archive of online copy of Physical Review from 1985 through 1996. Starting in January 2001, it was expanded to include all APS journal content back to 1893. We also have begun a year-by-year migration of recent material into PROLA. For the year 2003, 1999 material has been migrated. In 2004, 2000 will be migrated and so forth. Reviews of Modern Physics is now part of PROLA as well. The complete archive consists of all of Physical Review back to 1893, all of Physical Review Letters back to 1958, and all of Reviews of Modern Physics back to 1929.

So for most titles content from 2009 has been added or will be shortly.

Bookmyne Versions

iPhone iPad iTouchthese were the release versions

Android version Bookmyne 4.0 is also available.

Initial number of potential SIRSIDYNIX clients using RIM Blackberry was too low to merit development of a Blackberry version

However, Bookmyne version 5, to be released later this year, is being developed in such a way that it will work on the new Blackberry devices being released.
