SOCHI Sochi is a city in Krasnodar

Krai, Russia. Sochi is the

largest Russian resort city. It

sprawls along the shores of

the Black Sea and against the

background of the snow-

capped peaks of the

Caucasus Mountains. At

145 km (90 mi), Greater Sochi

claims to be the longest city in

Europe. Sochi is all about

healthy climate, beautiful

landscapes, different kinds of

recreation, great resorts and

hospitality. Here you will find

everything to relax and forget

about the daily activities and

relax in comfort.

Krasnaya Polyana

("Beautiful (or Red) Glade") is

an urban-type settlement

under the jurisdiction of

Sochi, Krasnodar Kray,

Russia. It is home to a ski

resort located in the Western

Caucasus, at an altitude of

600 meters (1,970 ft). The

resort is slated to host the

snow events (alpine and

Nordic) of the 2014 Winter

Olympics in Sochi.

SOCHI SIGHTSEEING TOUR

The resort city of Sochi has long been

called a gem of the Black Sea

coast of the Caucasus. It has

evergreen parks with lush subtropical

vegetation,

historical and architectural monuments,

and, most importantly, a warm and

mild sea.

You will visit a tower standing at the

top of Mt. Akhun that offers a

magnificent view of mountains and the

coast, walk through one of the city's

parks, see architectural monuments,

and learn a lot about the city's history.

This is a trip that will take you

back into the past and tell you

a lot of interesting facts about

the history of the town,

including the Caucasian War

of 1817-1864, which ended

there. You will learn about

tribes that lived in this area

many centuries ago, their

cultures and traditions. The

guide will also tell

you about the future of

Krasnaya Polyana and about

prospects for its development

as a mountain resort.

Rafting - descent on an

inflatable raft in a mountain

river. Can be made as an excursion

format, adventure, pleasure, and

recreation on the water.

There is a wisdom: “You can not

enter the same water twice” , this

wisdom works for rafting, since

trips never repeat itself. And

each time a mountain river gives

new sensations.

SUMMER ACTVITIES:

Rafting trip can be arranged in the middle of

the river from the gorge Mzymta Oh-Tsu up

to the trout farm. Transfer from Krasnaya

Polyana to the launch pad takes about 20-30

minutes. From the finish point back

to Krasnaya Polyana 30-35 minutes.

Length of route: 10 km.

The duration of the alloy: 50 - 60 minutes.

Non category route: the river is calm, with

no rapids, barrels and barriers. Special

training of participants is not required.

Capacity: 10-12 people per boat.

Equipment provided: vest, paddle. Helmets

on this site do not exist, because it is

absolutely safe.

To have with you: bathing suit, towel,

shoes for rafting, cloth and footwear.

RAFTING SUMMER ACTVITIES:

You will be told about the history of the area, hear

the Argonauts legend, visit a land that was

populated by primitive man, and go inside the

Ashkhtyr Cave, which goes 160 meters deep into

the mountain.

At the Troitse-Georgiyevsky Convent, you will visit

churches built in honor of famous icons, “The

Mother of God of Seven Arrows,” “Assuage My

Sorrows,” “The Holy Martyr Ouaros,” and “The

Sand Icon of the

Mother of God.” The Sand Icon church keeps

relics of 80 saints.Then you will drive through the

Psakho River valley, cross several fords,and visit

a wonderful canyon on whose bottom the Psakho

flows. The Psakho forms waterfalls, stone cisterns

and small lakes as it makes its way through the

karst terrain covered with moss and lichen.You

may finish the tour with a barbecue picnic that we

can organize at

your request.

If you are looking for a new form of active

recreation, try riding a mountain scooter down a

Psekhako Range slope.

It is a real adventure but our experienced

instructors can teach anyone to

cope with it.

Tour Plan

10:00 a.m. Meeting with the guide in the hotel

lobby, receiving a scooter from the rental center

10:15 a.m.-10:20 a.m. Walking to the cable car

station, a briefing on safety techniques

10:20 a.m.-10:35 a.m. Ascent to the Psekhako

Range by cable car

10:35 a.m.-Noon. Scooter riding to the Laura

River valley down a dirt road passing through

forest

Noon-1:00 a.m. Walking to Grand Hotel Polyana

through the valley,bringing the scooters along

SUMMER ACTIVITIES: GOING DOWNHILL ON MOUNTAIN SCOOTER

These are rides down dirt roads running

through forest on bicycles specially designed

for rough mountain terrains. This active and

ecological form of recreation will give you a

lot of pleasure and leave you with a wealth of

impressions.

You will see entrancing mountain scenery

and acquire some adrenaline that will make

you a zealous traveler. All the routes follow

forest roads and paths in the vicinity of

Krasnaya Polyana.

They all stay within the Sochi National Park

and the Caucasus State Nature Biosphere

Reserve. Tourists are taken to the starting

point of the tour by offroader or a cable car.

Lunch or a picnic finish the tour.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES: MOUNTAIN BICYCLE TOUR

The route to the waterfalls lies along a

tortuous mountain path running through a

beech forest to a point nearly 2,000 meters

above sea level. Just 30 minutes drive on

an offroader, and you are there. The

Polikarya Waterfall is astonishing for its

unique virgin beauty. It is also a spot that

offers a marvelous view of the Greater

Caucasus Range.

The Polikarya Waterfall, the highest in the

Sochi area, is located in a subalpine

meadow zone on the northern slopes of the

Aibga Range, 6 kilometers from the village

of Esto-Sadok. The waterfall is 70 meters

high. Nearby is a snow patch that almost

never melts, being there even in June and

July.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES: POLIKARYA WATERFALL

One of these rides will give you a

chance to see Caucasus wildlife:

forest paths, mountain rivers,

waterfalls, gorges, alpine

meadows, snow-capped

mountains. The routes run through

the Caucasus State Nature

Biosphere Reserve and the Sochi

National Park. An experienced

instructor will teach you riding skills

and tell you a lot that is interesting

from the history of the western

Caucasus. You will visit the

wild animal cage complex, where

you will see animals living in the

Caucasus reserve.

Exciting sea walk sailing along the

Black Sea coast with the ability to get

the basics of managing a sailing yacht,

and take part in the sailing regatta,

which appoint the winner of the

competition who will receive the grand

prize.

Cruising sailing-motor yacht

accommodates up to 10 people,

equipped with all the most necessary -

modern navigation systems, awning,

galley, toilet on board and the fishing

gear is available.

REGATTA SUMMER ACTVITIES:

Program:

• Transfer to boats (1,5 - 2 hours). Tour on the

road.

• Arrive at the yacht club. Participants meet the

leaders of the program, the music accompanies

everything. Participants are divided

into five crews of 10 people who

will compete. Embarking on a yacht: 5 boats,

each has a captain who performs clerical

duties and guide who works with the team and

gives the path information.

• Learning the basics

of managing sailing vessel (1 hour).

• Match Racing (1 hour). A special track with

a buoy, a boat with the judges.

• Rest in the sea (1:00): swimming in the sea, a

light buffet on board (champagne, fruit, water).

Return to the port. Summing up, awarding the

winners.

PAINTBALL As an option players can compete, in

teams or individually, to eliminate

opponents by hitting them with capsules

containing food coloring. A game field is

scattered with natural terrain.

Program:

10:30-11:00 Transfer to the place of the

game - a platform in the Imperial Lodge

11:00-13:00 Game:

- Equipment provided (marker,

camouflage, mask)

- Familiarization with the rules

of competition

- War against the instructors with

different scenarios

13:00 - announcement and award of the

winners.

14:30 – 15:00 Return to the Hotel.

SUMMER ACTVITIES:

TROUT FISHING Fish at the coast of the mountain lake with the view

to the

five-domed beauty Aibga, a rock Achishkho, and

in the close distance - snow-capped peaks of

Pseashkho.

"Rainbow” trout," "Amber" or "Brook" - all of this,

guests can catch in 15 minutes! Caught fish will be

immediately prepared according to a special recipe.

It is a 30 minutes off road drive to get to the fishing

place.

Program:

11:00 – 11:30 Transfer to the Rybino complex

11:30 – 12:00 Arrival to the complex, instruction on

fishing

12:00 – 12:30 Fishing (caught fish is weighed and

given to the kitchen for preparing)

13:00 – 14:30 Dinner-picnic. Relax on the territory.

14:30 – 15:00 Return to the Hotel.

Complex “Rybino” is situated in a

fantastically beautiful place – in the

wood, right at the foot of the

Achishkho Range.

The complex has pavilions fitted with

tables, benches, charcoal grills, a

warm room with a fireplace for 24

persons and a terrace for 40

persons.

There are three small lakes in the

complex, two of them for trout fishing

and one for carp fishing. Guests

receive all the fishing equipment in

the complex.
