History

Before 2004– Tytti Siltanen as project manager of Finland´s Network Unit for Local Action Groups

(2001-2005) (and connections to key persons I and II)

– Håkan Björk in Sweden had been developing and testing the method from 1997 (Pearce-Kay –method -> Tor Justad -> Håkan Björk)

– Björk´s model´s speciality: Consentration on objectives (not activities), objectives defined with indicators

Year 2004– Meeting of Tytti Siltanen and Håkan Björk

– Cluster of village developers, joint training (national and EQUAL funding)

Year 2005– first couple of Social Accounts of village developers (Aisapari, Kymenlaakson kylät,

Liiveri, Seinäjoen kylähankkeet and Päijät-Häme village program)

– Guide Book of Social Accounting and Auditing by Björk & Siltanen

– Association of the Developers of Social Responsibility, Accounting and Auditing (+ first idea of funding from RAY)

– Loosing of proposal as partner for Equal-project Response

– Meeting of John Pearce in Edinburgh + hope for SAN international seminar

– Small grant of Finnish-Swedish Culture Fund for a seminar for people working with culture and youth (meeting of key person III)

Year 2006– Work of HB and TS as entrepreneurs: open seminars etc.

– Winning of the proposal as partner of the University of Helsinki for EQUAL-project Response, Finnish Red Cross

Year 2007– Meeting of key person IV in seminar: planning of new project, apply for

funding from RAY (Finland´s Slot Machine Association)

– Response project continues: six organisations social accounts• Kontti Recycling Department Store Chain (Finnish Red Cross)

• Meriko project / Meriko factory of the Merikoski Vocational Training Centre

• Omaoksa laundry co-operative

• Social Janitor project (FRC)

• House of Skills (FRC)

– S Group´s and Co-operative Hämeenmaa´s consulting project within Response: connecting Corporate Social Responsibility, Balance Scorecard and Social Accounting & Auditing

– EQUAL theme group of measuring of social influences

– Training of five social auditors in Response Project

– TS pregnant, HB ends the job at FRC

Year 2008– Book of Vastuunkantaja-model published by Response project

– Project leader of Response starts Syfo as competitor

– Funding from RAY for NÄKY project of Settlement NGO´s 2008-2011 and start of the project in Jyväskylä

• Five settlements

Year 2009– NÄKY continues + expands

• First Social Accounts of the case organisation and the project itself

• Federation of Settlements and three other settlements comes to the project

– Application for funding from RAY for developing of the method
