Ruler- Determines were they go to war. The king is considered God.

Nobles- knew how to read and write. Merchants/ artist- made objects to sell. They

were very good at trade. Peasants- gardening and cleaning. Slaves- Served the nobles.

Shi- gentry scholar. Nong- Peasant framers. Gong- Artisans, craftsmen Shang- merchants and traders.

Emperor- figure head Shogun- Powerful military leader Daimyo- Powerful lords Samurai- Warriors that served the shogun Peasants- No power

Imperial- highest class. Senators- served the senate. Equestrians- In charge of the stables. Commons- like free people. Freed people- people that bought freedom. Slaves- served people.

Men- They can go do jobs Women- They have to wear cloth all around

them and only their eyes can show.

Philosophers- believed in science and also that the solar system is heliocentric.
