Bucky Box

Bucky Box is creating the tools for a better food system. They create beautifully designed, easy to use software to enable a planet- & people-friendly food system. Their first offering is enterprise-level software for vege box schemes, CSA's and food co-operatives, to support the growth in the local food movement.

Conscious Consumers Programme

Conscious Consumers is a new incentive scheme to help hospitality businesses respond to consumer demand for environmentally and socially responsible products and services. Their pilot phase hasfocused specifically on cafes, and they’re currently active in Auckland, Wellington and the Waikato.

Energy Options

Energy Options is a not for profit organisation that is based across a number of communities in New Zealand. They aim to impact on every home in New Zealand with their values of helping the cold, sick, vulnerable and at risk to make their homes warmer, drier, healthier and more energy efficient.

Inspiring Stories

Inspiring Stories supports young Kiwis to harness the power of storytelling for a better world. They do this through workshops, events, public speaking and creative digital media to help showcase positive role models for young people.

Kaibosh (Food rescue)

Kaibosh is NZ’s first dedicated food rescue organisation. They collaborate with food retailers to rescue surplus food that’s good enough to eat, but not good enough to sell, from being discarded into landfills. This food is redistributed to charities that work with individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Kokako Pop-up Café at the HP Winter Garden

Kokako created a model for a sustainable cafe operation where there is a limited supply of water and power, and where the event relies on disposable or recyclable crockery/cutlery whereby porcelain crockery is not practical. The vision is for a design led contemporary cafe offer with a focus on local, artisan suppliers and a practical and tangible focus on waste minimisation.

New Zealand Motor Caravan Association Inc

A membership-based organisation fostering and advancing NZ’s motor caravan movement by providing relevant services and information, promoting fellowship, vehicle safety, road courtesy and protection of the environment. They support their members’ love of exploring New Zealand in their motor caravans.

New Zealand Clean Energy Centre

The 800m2 Commercial Office is an example of green, energy efficient building as well as a demonstration hub for a wide range of clean energy solutions. The building is off grid in respects to sewerage, water and heating and generates much of its own electricity on-site.

Ooooby (Out of Our Own Backyards)

Ooooby is an organisation of passionate people who are working to make it easy and fun for everyone to eat local food. They developed a local food sales and logistics system that can be easily replicated.  The system is designed to be low cost, simple to use and to automatically handle the complex information processing that is required to make a local food system a success.

350 Aotearoa

350 Aotearoa is the New Zealand arm of the international campaign (350.org) to unite the world around solutions to climate change. 350 parts per million is the scientifically proven safe level of CO2 in our atmosphere.

Tumeke Cycle Space

Tumeke Cycle Space is a non-profit, community-run bicycle workshop in Auckland. It’s a place wherepeople can fix, build, and learn about bikes in a safe and inclusive environment. They provide tools, knowledge, and training, with a focus on teaching people how to fix their own bikes.

Urban Pantry is a social enterprise building strong, sustainable urban communities through engaging groups of people in local food growing activities.

Founded in 1992 by microbiologist and immunologist Dr. Myron Wentz, USANA Health Sciences is a science-based company that develops scientifically advanced nutritional, personal-care and weight management products.

Viridian Media – Element Magazine

Element is a joint venture between APN and Viridian Media.Element is a heavily researched social marketing media product specifically designed toinfluence and educate The New Zealand Herald readers (561,000 people) in relation to theurgent need for sustainable development.
