Remember Web 2.0?

Buzzwords change

Business principles evolve

Social media frustrates

Capitalise on awareness

Forget failures

Social media is nothing new

It’s just conversations using different tools

And just like networking

Don’t expect immediate results

Don’t put Descartes before the horse

Research, listen, and plan

Tactics follow strategy

What about direct marketing?

DM = One-way traffic with money the pointsman

SM = multiple streams of conversations with customers

The numbers don’t matter, everybody has a voice

Gary Vaynerchuk – Your product is going to have a problem eventually if

you don’t give a fuck

Caring is massively underrated

People want to believe

But you need to sustain it

And be flexible in your approach

To help ensure you build brand loyalty

But don’t take my word for it

The truth is out there
