EXAMPLE OF AN AREA MINISTRY FACEBOOK PAGE

• Each Area Ministry has the

opportunity to create a Facebook

page.

• Must follow Joni and Friends

guidelines and use approved

profile photos.

• Social media policy is available on

the intranet.

• We want to help you utilize your

page to engage your community

and donors.

FACEBOOK BEST PRACTICES

BE CONCISE AND CONSISTENT

• Keep it short! Posts with less than 250 characters see 60% more engagement.

• Consistently post 2-5 times per week (not all in one day).

• Check Facebook Insights to learn about your audience and see which posts are reaching and engaging them.

• Conveniently schedule posts in advance to go live when your audience is most engaged.

FACEBOOK BEST PRACTICES

TYPES OF POSTS

• Keep posts relevant to your

audience.

• Use photos - posts with photos are

180% more engaging.

• Include website URL in posts.

• Share videos from the Joni and

Friends YouTube page.

• Encourage participation – ask

readers to share your post, ask a

question, etc.

• Respond to posts on your page.
