deleted and will outlive you Most social media is free and therefore

anyone can join and view what you post Bad judgment can lead to lost job

opportunities, trouble with the law or worse.

Pick a unique password and change it a couple times a year

Don’t be ignorant! Anyone can be attacked online and that includes you!

Be aware who has access to you computer/phone/Ipad etc.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing something online then don’t!

• Lock Down Security Settings or Limit Social Media in workplace

• Train IT personnel so they are up to date on security risks

• Embrace Social Media! It is here to stay and could be used as an asset

Others things to think about with Social Media Security

Fake Accounts are common online so be aware!

“Phishing” or other scams can happen to you so always be on alert

Make sure to monitor kids or anyone who might not be up to date on privacy/security risks online
