Meeting Minutes
Discuss with your team and make one page of “meeting minutes” capturing a summary of this
conversation:
1. What is the story?
We want to create a magazine focused on all things internet culture. We want to be the
one-stop shop for memes, TV/movie reviews and video games. We want to create a
network of people with similar interests and unite them through our content.
2. What categories of the magazine you wish to highlight?
Audacious will focus on pop culture; we are targeting millennials. Specifically, we will
focus on the Internet and pop culture. For example, one of our topics will be evaluating
social media outlets like Reddit and their reactions to pop culture. We will be featuring
articles on memes, TV/movie reviews and video games.
3. Will there be stories that we will be launching with (you don’t have to write new
content, but if you have something from another class that you think might be useful
here you can use it) or link to fake content is also correct.
Our stories will revolve around topics such as end of year lists, for example: best memes
from 2017 and predictions for 2018 with a variety of topics under internet culture. We will
be reflecting on the past year in the lead-up of the launch and the start of the new year.
4. What is the tone of the magazine?
Casual, humorous, upbeat.
5. Is there a particular brand feel that needs to be articulated?
Yes. Our slogan is “get your geek on” which will be more evident through our posts.
6. How can you generate excitement?
Incorporating a lot of photos, gifs, colour, upbeat tone. In the spirit of Christmas, we are
planning to launch our campaign one month prior to the release of Audacious, with
contests and games leading up to it. We want to have a contest where the winner can
meet the cast of Stranger Things. We will also be releasing an email campaign with a
countdown to the magazine release, using MailChimp to schedule the release date of
our emails, control our address list and receive analytics on our email campaign such as
number of people who opened the email etc.

Greetings, fellow geeks!
Coming this New Year's, an epic cornucopia of satiric internet trolling and scrolling as
Audacious begins to unleash its inner nerd on January 1, 2018 (and yes, in case you're
wondering, we 100% will be using more words like cornucopia throughout our time together).
Get ready for multitudes of Internet and pop culture memes coming your way. To get you in the
geeky mood, we have loads of material to release in the coming year. We won’t reveal all we
