what is this allabout?

facebookdrops 20%

In a Nutshell; There will be cries of joy from social media marketers. It seems that Facebook has finally removed the 20% rule for ads. No more rejected creatives because there’s too

much text on them. But there’s a catch here!

Well it has changed. Maybe the rule has not been totally removed, but it has been made much more flexible. The new rule will not stop you from using any image, no matter the amount of text on it. On the contrary, it will let you use it for ads, but Facebook will warn you that the more text on your image, the less reach you are likely to achieve with the same budget.

In fact you ad can now fall into 1 of 4 categories:

OK – you ad image contains little or no text

Low – your ad’s reach may be slightly limited

Medium – your ad’s reach may be limited

High – you may not reach your audience

a smart-way to get the attention of this new generation of Netizens

Mobile agency Fetch targeted interns using apps where they spend a lot of time.

They set up a Tinder profile to find potential interns within the app's roughly 50 million users who skew between the ages of 18 to 34.

For one day in January, Fetch turned on the profile to match with people in the New York area, asking them to send their best pick-up line, which resulted in more than a few funny one-on-one conversations with folks who clearly didn't read through the agency's profile before swiping right.

facebook empowersvideoIn a Nutshell; Facebook is introducing new ways to create, share and discover live video on Facebook

Live for Groups and Events “Going live” on Facebook feels special because you are going live with the people you care about. Now, the ability to go live in Facebook Groups and Facebook Events is there. Live in Groups allows you to broadcast to just the people in the Facebook Group – so you can go live in your family group, or share a workout plan in a fitness group. Live in Events means you can go live from a birthday party to allow those that can’t make it to join the fun, and a performer can go live backstage to the people who’ve RSVP-ed to the event to give them a sneak peak. You can even use Events to schedule a live Q&A session.

This new ability to both broadcast and watch live video within Groups and Events enables people to connect more deeply with their closest friends, family and the communities of people who share their interests.

Live Reactions appear in real time and disappear quickly so broadcasters and other viewers can get a sense of how people are feeling at different points during the live video – it’s like hearing the crowd applaud and cheer.

When your friend reacts to your video or to a video you are both watching together you’ll see their profile pic and a little starburst before their reaction appears.

Live video on Facebook is truly interactive as broadcasters engage with their commenters and respond to their suggestions and questions. In fact, from initial data, we’ve seen that people comment more than 10 times more on Facebook Live videos than on regular videos.

We want people watching the broadcast after the fact to feel “in” on the action. To achieve this, we will replay comments as they happened during the live broadcast when people watch it later.

Interactive Features: Live Reactions, Replay Comments, Live Filters

Live Reactions makes it easy for your viewers to express their feelings in real time during a live broadcast. Using the same reactions launched in News Feed, viewers can select Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry, and the reactions animate right on top of the video.
