Socrative Assessment

Socrative can be used for both Formative and Summative Assessments

There are 2 Apps, Teacher and Student

Socrative Teacher -Teachers should create and account or sign in with your Google sign in.Socrative Student - Students will only need to enter your Socrative Room Number, and your class automatically generates. There is no need to "set up" a class.

The opening page is called the Dashboard.

Start A Quiz allows you to begin quizzes you have already created

Quick Question is for creating short quizzes. This option can be used for formative assessment during a lesson, as an opener, or a teacher-generated TOD.

Exit Ticket is a prepared 3 questionTOD with the option for a teacher question on # 3.

Space Race allows for competitive assessment with teams of students.

Manage Quizzes , My Quizzes is where quizzes are imported, viewed, and edited.

Quizzes are assigned a number which can be used for sharing.

To create quizzes, select Manage Quizzes, Create Quiz. Question choice options will appear.

^ and v arrows to the right of questions allow re-arrangement of questions while creating a quiz.

Once created, select Save&Exit (upper right)

To begin a quiz, select Dashboard and select Start a Quiz.

Options will appear regarding quiz pacing and randomizing answers and questions.

Once a quiz has started, you can choose to see Student Names and Responses.

To end a quiz, select Finish (upper right). You will then be directed to the Reports page. You can view a report chart or have report emailed. You can also select to View Later.

Reports can be retrieved from View Later by selecting Manage Quizzes, Reports.The Menu option in the upper right contains account information and a Clear Room option to end a class assessment reporting and begin a new class.
