1: Structuring The first step is to prepare the Residency’s course content taking into account the relationship between the demands of the sponsoring client and the technical profile of the participating students. The sponsoring client may desire to have more than one Residency program and each will have a different course
content as well as specific delivery focus. This is what makes the Software Residency development a customized and bold solution.
1
2: Recruiting Eligible for the Residency are those students who are near graduation and newly-graduated. Pre-selection is based on school curriculum,
professional profile, interviews, online testing of specific
knowledge and technical criteria established according to the sponsoring client. Scholarships are available due to exclusive dedication required by the program since it includes both theoretical classes and practice/development (hands on approach).
2
3: Student development CESAR provides a real Project Development environment supported by quality processes and productivity. The residents are allocated to work cells (team work for the resolution of problems). They are assigned well-defined practical activities which can be evaluated by the mentors. Faculty acts as consultants, and tutoring is provided by a team of experienced professionals.
3
4: Deliveries Solution for the client’s real problems. Agenda for periodic deliveries during the program and
continuous follow up of these deliveries. The Sponsoring client will systematically receive deliveries/artifacts throughout the length of the program which are high quality and able to solve its immediate demand. The student’s final paper is geared to market publications.
4
5: Evaluation Residents’ evaluations and feedback are continuous. Their work performance during the program may not fall below 7 (maximmum of 10) for all disciplines and attendance must not be below 75%. Practical activities are evaluated by different roles:
Faculty, tutors and the client. The thesis is evaluated by both faculty and tutors.
5
6: Hiring possibilities Outstanding students may be hired by the client or by CESAR. After the Residency, graduating students will have expertise well above those who lack specialization.
