    Focus Coordination with Punjab Food AuthorityPunjab Food Safety Authority is on ground having linkages with

    TRTA-II (UNIDO).

    Active Representation from L&DD is needed while attendingtheir meetings

    TRTA-II expert (Dr. Ian Goulding) has suggested creating

    linkages with PFA as Milk and Meat Safety Cell / Unit.

    MMSA Cell / Unit may contribute in Punjab Food Authority with

    mutual coordination for Milk and Meat Quality inspection aspects

    Coordination aspects may be explored with PFA with contact /

    meetings on the subject.MoU may be drafted / signed to consider the role of Milk and Meat

    Safety Cell / Unit in Punjab Food Authority.

    Standards Operating Proceduresin line with the OIE prescribed plans

    1. Limits of the compartment should be established by the veterinaryauthorities / department on the basis of natural, artificial or legalboundaries.

    2.  The area of compartment should be made publically announced orpublished for the purpose.

    3. Biosecurity management (quarantine) and animal husbandrypractices should be notified through official channels.

    4. Animal population present in the compartment should be clearlyidentified and recorded.

    5. Efficient livestock or veterinary services should be made available inthe compartment.

    6. Updated information technology should be used to monitor andreport animal disease
