Solano HCP Purpose

The purpose of the Solano HCP is to promote the conservation of biological diversity and the preservation of endangered species and their habitats consistent with the recognition of private property rights; provide for a healthy economic environment for the citizens, agriculture, and industries; and allow for the on-going maintenance and operation of public and private facilities in Solano County.

13,000 to 15,000 acres of valley floor grassland and vernal pool habitat.

6,970 acres of agricultural foraging land

3,300 acres of upland habitat for the California red-legged frog and callippe silverspot butterfly.
