In many regions of the world the on-grid power supply is unreliable, suffering frequent power outages every day. This means frequent recharging, severely shortening battery life.

To minimize the impact of outages or use of diesel generators it is crucial to recharge batteries as quickly as possible - you never know when the next outage will be. At the same time, the cyclability of the battery needs to be exceptional, as the number of charging cycles will be greatly increased when the grid goes down.

The NSC Blue Technology® offers a five times faster recharge and can handle more than three times as many cycles than standard AGM’s, thanks to its PSOC compatibility. This not only ensures a more reliable power supply, but also reduces the cost of operation.

The new NSC Blue + Battery® NorthStar took the proven performance of Blue Star Technology® and modified the electrochemistry to deliver more power, high cycling and fast recharge. This makes the Blue + Battery ideal for unstable grid and off grid applications.

• One of the main advantages of this battery is the fact that they can work under uPSOC conditions. In an “uncontrolled Partial State of Charge” (uPSOC) cycle the battery is partially discharged, and may only get a full recharge when the circumstances permit. This can be done on a very irregular basis. The main advantage of the Blue batteries is their ability to work under these uPSOC conditions without being fully recharged after each cycle (which is strongly recommended with standard batteries)

• Extremely safe & stable chemistry : It is non-explosive & will not catch fire under collision due to overcharging or from short circuit.

• High discharge rate capability : When accelarating, the battery will have better powerful performance than other Lithium and NiMh batteries.

• Long service life : Over 6-7 years, up to 2000 cycles (under 80%DOD)

• Deep Depth of Discharge (DOD) : The batteries can be fully (100%) discharged.

• Lead-acid batteries can only be discharged till 80%, otherwise they will be damaged. So with the same capacity the LiFePO4 battery is more powerfull.

• The voltage of LiFePo4 is 3.2V/cell. The voltage will also remain from 3.2V – 2.85V within 85% of its discharge time.

• No memory effect

• Environmentally friendly : Non-toxic, non-contaminating, no rare metals.

• CE, UL and SGS/ROHS approved.

• Wide working temperature : from -20°C to +45°C for discharge and from 0°C to +45°C for charge

We supply a range of low-cost, next generation, proven Battery Management System that will work for all high-power lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries commonly used in a range of Electric Vehicle (and other) applications.

They are highly configurable in both hardware and software, allowing battery systems ranging from a few cells up to hundreds of cells. The modular nature allows systems to easily expand with your needs, reconfiguring as required.

They seamlessly link with the PC (or Tablet) based software that also works throughout your whole home network (or Wifi network) common in most installations. Yes, that means wireless remote monitoring of your car.
