Vacuum Process

Magnetron Process

Principle

The glass surface is coated by sputtering in vacuum where the targetmaterial on the cathode is diffused.

Diffusing is through positive loaded Argon ions.

Argon ions are produced in the plasma through the gas discharge.

Permanent magnets maintain the necessary density of the plasma.

Magnetron solar control coatings

Vision

In the unit coating always in position #2.

Can be used in all traditional curtain wall systems , as well for structuralglazing systems, without stripping off the coating.

To improve the U-value in an unit with C-coating , a Low-e layer is necessary on surface #3.

Can be used as vertical and inclinated position.

Magnetron Low-e coating

Use Mainly in residential areas

In the unit coating always in position #2 or #3

Layer "1" : Metal oxideAdhesion of the next coming layerReduction of the light reflex ionGuarantee high light transmissionNeutral color

Layer "2" : SilverFunction layer (reflexion of the infrared radiation)Because of the pure silver the emissivity of the glass is decreased to lower than E=0,10 . This meansimprovement of the U-value. Non coated float glass has an emissivity of E=0,89.
