What is Solar Photovoltaic?• Solar Photovoltaic electricity systems, also known as solar

PV, capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaics cells.

• These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work - still being able to generate electricity on a cloudy day.

• The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting.



How it works?• Solar panels work best when placed on a predominantly

south facing slope with little or no shading.• They produce DC electricity which is cabled to an inverter -

usually positioned in the loft space. This converts the current AC electricity. A cable links this to your electric supply at your consumer unit (fuse box).

• A second meter is fitted to show how much electricity the panels are producing for you.

A Solar PV system pays you back in three ways…

The Government pay you for every kWh you generate – current rate is 14.38 pence per unit. This is called your FEED-IN TARIFF and is PAID directly to you.

The rate is INDEX-LINKED for 20 years from the date you start generating, and increases each year by the RPI.

The average rise over the last 10 years is over 3% per annum (www.statisics.gov.uk)

You can use the electricity you generate for FREE thus making big savings on your electricity bill.

Every year, as the price of electricity goes up, you will make BIGGER savings.

Sell back 50% of the electricity you produce to your supplier.

Every year, as the price of electricity increases, you receive LARGER credits against your

electricity bill.

This saving is CREDITED to your electricity bill.

What happens Next?We will have a quick fact-find about your home and electric supply, plus check your last 12 months usage.

Next, a short technical appraisal of your property - both inside and out - to make sure we can fit panels on your roof and connect them successfully to your electric supply.

We will need to look inside your loft, your consumer unit and the supply into your house.

Also we need to take some measurements outside as well



What happens Next?We will recreate your property in CAD and provide you with exact figures.

This includes a price to fully install and commission your Halltech PV System.

At this stage, we can investigate additional funding options if necessary.

Our Solar PV SystemsAll our panels have a 250 watt output and are1650mm x 960mm x 40mm in size …

They are very light, to lessen the weight of the array on your roof as much as possible.

We supply panels in 2 different finishes

SILVER and BLACK …



Our Solar PV Systems

Silver are our cost-effective, standard panels

Our black panels, also known as ‘triple black’ panel, consist of black frames and black internal connections, providing a sleek and uniformed appearance on your roof.



Our Solar PV SystemsWe also supply panels with 2 types of electrical connections, usually positioned in the loft space.

STANDARD INVERTOR systems and SOLAR EDGE optimised systems.

Standard inventors convert the power generated from your roof into an AC supply, which your home uses, ensuring a smooth and accurate supply at all times.

Solar Edge is the forefront of solar technology and ensures that all panels are performing to their maximum level at all times. They should be a 15%, yield advantage, especially, if the system is split over 2 roofs, or shading of the panels is likely. Solar Edge carries a small cost premium over standard systems.

Ways to PaySolar Systems – 2kW from £14 per week, 4kW from £20 per week (with 10% deposit).

If you prefer, No deposit (max 50% of system cost)

First payment will be made 30 days AFTER you sign-off the PV System.

APR – 9.9% - Terms are set for 4,5 & 10 years.

Flexible Payments to suit your budget – normal payment by direct debit, but you can pay as much as you want, when you want



Ways to PayDeposit from just 10%.

Balance is payable AFTER sign-off of you PV System .

Payment can be made by cheque, cash, debit card, credit card.
