Oneormoreofficialsfromyourdioceseconnectswithourleadership,withinterestinCatecheticalInstitute(CI)offerings.CIseekstogainanunderstandingofyourdiocese’schallengesandobjectives.CIproposeswaystoserveyourdiocese’svisionforministryformation,andyourdioceseworkswithCIleadershiptodevelopaplantoserveyourdiscipleship,certificationand/orongoingformationneeds.Uponacceptanceoftheplan,yourbishopthensendsalettertoCI,expressinghisdesiretopartnerhisdiocesewithCIforthepurposeofministryformation.CIcreatesalandingpageforyourdioceseonourLearningManagementSystem(LMS)atwww.FranciscanAtHome.com,customizedtothediocese.DiocesanofficialsaretrainedtousetheLMStomanageallaspectsoftheirformationworkwiththoseusingthesystem.ACIFormationDayisscheduled,wherethediocese’sonlyfinancialobligationistravel,housing,andfoodfortheCIpresenter(s).Normallydoneintheformofalarger-scalein-service,thedayfocusesontheimportanceofperson-to-persondiscipleship,andcreatesstrongenthusiasmfortheformationandmentoringdesignoftheworkshops.ParishesandschoolsareonboardedtotheLMS,eachpayinganannualsubscriptionfeeof$300.Fundingnormallycomesfromtheindividualparishesandschoolsratherthanthediocesanbudget.Itispreferredthatallparishescomeonatonetime;CIprovidesfinancialincentivesfordiocesesthatelecttodothis.Oncetheparish/schoolsubscriptionsarereceivedbyCI,allcatecheticalleaders,catechists,teachers,parents,andothersinthoseinstitutionswillhavefreeaccesstoalargeandgrowingarrayofformationworkshopsonoursystem.Youcanalsocreatecustomtrackstoaddressdifferentformationneedsforthoseyouserve.CIsupportsdiocesanofficialstoensurelong-termsuccessofthisformation,includingonboardingandon-goingassistancetolearnersandmentors.
