The largest screens with double
out-of-balance drive (screening area
3300 x 6000 mm) are used for gravel and
sand classification. The plant comprises a

electronically controlled right down to the
print-out of individual weighbridge tickets
for the trucks.

While mobile crushing plants arebuilt ready-mounted on theirown travel gear, semi-mobileplants are moved from onelocation to the next as piggybackload on separate haul units.Each crushing plant comesready to operate with its ownfeed hopper, feed conveyor,discharge conveyor and materialtransfer belt. The size anddesign of the crusher naturallydepend on the work that it isintended for. Even plants withthe largest gyratory or jawcrushers can reach availabilitiesin excess of 90% and that inthe hardest of rocks, while atthe same time cutting back theinner-pit transport costs by50% and more.
Semi-mobile crushing plants arealways to be recommendedwhen they are relocated at longintervals only. This is especiallythe case in large and deepopen-pit mines whereoverburden and minerals arebeing extracted at several pointssimultaneously.
To keep piggyback loads as lowas possible, the largest semi-mobile plants are designed inindividual modules for fast andeasy movement.

Gyratory crushers are realstate-of-the-art technology andhave been designed for highthroughputs and economicaloperation. They are used mainlyas primary crushers in oremines, quarries, lime andcement works. Kubria® conecrushers are high-classtechnology for medium and finecrushing of hard rock.They achieve a high capacity,reduction ratio and a cubicalfinal product at low operatingcosts, with minimummaintenance and simpleoperation. They are available asimpact crushers, single-shafthammer crushers and TITANdouble-shaft hammer crushers.These state-of-the-art machinesare extremely compact, robust,efficient and easily serviced.They can be fed with large,bulky material and produce aclearly defined final grain size.
Impact crushers, single-shafthammer crushers andTITAN double-shaft hammercrushers achieve throughputsof more than 2000t/h.The latter are particularly suitedto the comminution of wet andsticky materials.
Hammer mills ofThyssenKrupp Fördertechnikwere especially conceived forthe fine reduction, grinding,homogenization, fiberizing andselective crushing of natural andindustrial products.The process can be combinedwith drying.
ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnikimpact crushers have beendesigned to cover the wholerange from coarse to finereduction. They handle hard andmedium-hard material,and are used especially inthose applications where ahigh reduction ratio and a cubic,stress-free final product arecalled for. They are used tocrush coal, potash, limestone,gypsum, slag, overburden,rubble and asphalt material.
Other applications are in theselective reduction ofore-bearing materials and inthe chemical industry for thereduction of sulphur gravel,baryte, bauxite etc.
Double-shaft impact crushersachieve the very high reductionratio of 1:100, reduce large feedlumps in one process to a finalgrain size of approx. 25 mm reaching throughput rates ofup to 2000 t/h.They are mainly used in thecement-, lime- and gypsumindustries.

ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnikbuilds heavy-duty apron feedersbeing equipped with chains,track rollers and sprockets.They are used as feed anddischarge conveyors in crushingplants for limestone, hard rock,coal, ore and overburden, evenfor extremely abrasive materials.Apron feeders with conveyingdistances of up to 30 m andwidths of up to 3000 mm havebeen realized so far achievinghandling capacities of up to12000 t/h.Special designs allow inclinesto be varied from 20-25° andallow shifting up to 3000 mm.Bevel spur gearboxes, planetarygears and hydraulic motorscan be installed for eitherfixed-speed or infinitely variabledrives. Double drives areinstalled to achieve higherdriving powers.
Chain conveyors in light-dutydesign with capacities of up to4000 t/h are the choice for lessabrasive materials.

Drying – grinding – separating –for a variety of applicationsand uses.
Dry grinding systems are usedas open-circuit mills or inconnection with high-efficiencyseparators in a closed circuit andserve for the fine grinding ofhard, brittle materials.In the case of circuit grinding,the moisture of the material tobe ground is restricted to about1.5% H2O. Moistures exceedingthis value cannot be dried by thegrinding heat alone.Therefore, in these cases,additional heat must beintroduced into the grindingsystem.
One main area of the useof wet grinding systems is theproduction of limestonesuspension by grinding for fluegas desulphurization plants(FGD-plants).
They are used for the finegrinding of mineral raw materialswith an already high feedmoisture or such mineral rawmaterials which contain moist,sticky contaminations.Furthermore, they are used if,in the following process step,the ground material is processedin the form of a water/solidssuspension.
Rod mills are ideal for producingsands by grinding gravel and forthe preparation of ores.

Beyond the high separationefficiency, the series “QS” ischaracterized by its particulareconomy and reliability.As both bearings are arrangedoutside the separator, theycan be replaced withoutdismantling the rotor.To suit the different applicationconditions, the separators of allour series are equipped with ametallic, chemical-ceramic orceramic (Al2O3-ceramics) wearprotection.
Upon request, the series “QS”can also be supplied as modu-lar system.This permits the subsequentinstallation of an additionalseparating air supply coil, anadditional cyclone and fan todouble the capacity of theseparator.

All dryers are convectiondryers that run in continuousoperation. They can becomplemented with ancillarycomponents such as hot gasgenerators (gas- or oil-fired),dedusting-, dosing- andconveying systems.

Here, aero- and hydro-cyclonesare distinguished.Aero-cyclones serve forseparating dustlike materialsfrom air-/gas-carrying media.They offer high separationefficiencies at low pressure lossand are executed with a wearprotection suiting the respectiveapplication conditions.
Hydro-cyclones are used for thecontinuous classification andconcentration of suspendedparticles from liquids.Throughput rate and separatingbehaviour can be varied bychanging the diameter of theover- and underflow nozzles aswell as by changing the presetpressure.
By the combination of individualhydro-cyclones to cycloneclusters, highest throughputrates are achieved at a low spacerequirement.
