was just thinking. my sister does –alot– of reading, and spends like $1000 a year on just books alone. most of them she reads once then never looks at again. Is there any kind of like…video rental store but for books? would make things a lot cheaper, plus once one person has read one the next person can get enjoyment from it etc

Take Home:
1. Market the library *outside* of the library
2. Find out what your (non)Users want and need.
3. Are you doing it right? Measure it and find out (it’s not that hard!)
4. Involving staff in fundraising efforts of the library
5. Developing ‘out of the box’ partnerships
6. Blending the traditional/nontraditional
7. Creating blogs and sites that are interactive
8. Hiring non library staff for programming and other perspectives
