Magalak at magsaya kayong totoo sapagkat malaki ang inyong gantimpala sa langit. Ganyan din ang ginawa nilang pag-uusig sa mga propetang nauna sa inyo.

HOW CAN I DO THIS? PAANO KO ITONG GAWIN?

Principle #1

1. Realize I'm not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing & my life is unmanageable. Unawain na hindi ako Diyos. Tinatanggap ko na wala akong kapangyarihan na pigilin ang kaugalian na gumawa ng mga maling bagay at na ang buhay ko ay hindi kayang pamahalaan.

Principle #2

2. Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to him, & that he has the power to help me recover. Taimtim na naniniwala na mayroong Diyos, na mahalaga ako sa kanya, at may kapangyarihan siya na tulungan akong gumaling / bumuti / ang aking kalagayan.

We must not think, however, that once believing in, the Christian is now finished with the gospel message, A fundamental insight of Martin Luther’s was that ‘religion’ is the default mode of the human heart. Your computer operates automatically in a default mode unless you deliberately tell it to dos something else. So Luther say that even after you are converted by the gospel your heart will go back to operating on other principles unless you deliberately, repeatedly set it to gospel-mode.” (114-115)

5. Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life & humbly ask Him to remove my character defects. Kusang loob na magpasakop as mga nais ng Diyos na mabago sa aking buhay, at mapagkumbabang hingin sa Panginoon alisin ang mga hindi magandang pag-uugali.

6. Evaluate all my relationships; Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me & make amends for harm I've done to others except when to do so would harm them or others. Pahalagahan ang relasyon sa kapwa. Magpatawad sa mga taong nakasakit sa akin at makipag-ayos sa mga taong nasaktan ko. Liban na kung ito’y magdudulot o magiging sanhi ng makasakit sa kanila o sa ibang tao.

thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”

• Romans 12:3 (NIV) "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you."

7. Reserve a daily time with God for self examination, Bible readings & prayer in order to know God & His will for my life & to gain the power to follow His will.Maglaan ng oras sa Diyos araw-araw para mapag-aralan ang sarili, pagbabasa ng Bibliya, at panalangin upang makilala ang Diyos at malaman ang kagustuhan niya at magagdagan ang kapangyarihan na makasunod sa Kanyang kalooban.

8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example & by my words.Magpasakop ako sa Diyosupang maipahayag ang Mabuting Balita sa iba, sa pamamagitan ng aking halimbawa at mga salita.








The Twelve Steps & their Biblical comparisons

• Celebrate Recovery teaches the Twelve Steps by relating them with Biblical verses.[4]

We admitted we were powerless over our addictions & compulsive behaviors. That our lives had become unmanageable.

• (Romans 7:18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.)

Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

• (Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will & to act according to his good purpose.)

Made a decision to turn our will & our lives over to the care of God.

• (Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy & pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.)

Made a searching & fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

• (Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine our ways & test them, & let us return to the LORD.)

Admitted to God, to ourselves, & to another human being, the exact nature of our wrongs.

– (James 5:16a Therefore confess your sins to each other & pray for each other so that you may be healed.)

Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

• (James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, & he will lift you up.)

Humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings.

• (1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful & just & will forgive us our sins & purify us from all unrighteousness.)

Made a list of all persons we had harmed & became willing to make amends to them all.

• (Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.)

Made direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

• (Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar & there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go & be reconciled to your brother; then come & offer your gift.)

Continued to take personal inventory & when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

• (1 Corinthians 10:12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!)

Sought through prayer & meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us &

power to carry that out.

• (Colossians 3:16a Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.)

Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, & practice these principles

in all our affairs.

• (Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.)

12 Steps

• 1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol / drugs / sex/ love / gambling & that our lives had become unmanageable.

• 2. We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
