S_Curve in the M221 / M241

Goal of the S Curve:

Provide a smooth Acc / Dec

This ramp is used mainly with:

•Machine with a high inertia

e.g. : Roller

•Manipulate fragile objects

•Manipulate elastic products

e.g. : Plastic film, label..


S_Curve in the M221 / M241

The S_Curve is implemented through a Jerk Ratio Parameter

available in all the FB dedicated to manage a Move.

Jerk Ratio: Is a parameter provided in %.


S_Curve - Jerk Ratio Implementation

The Jerk ratio is provided in %, the

calculation is based on the Acc/Dec time.

E.g. :

Jerk ratio = 0% the ramp applied is “Linear”

Jerk ratio = 66% The ramp applied is

S_Curve 66% of the acc/dec time.

Jerk ratio = 100% the ramp applied is full
