Micrologix 1000Features
Preconfigured 1K programming and data memory — help ease configuration (bit, integer, timers, counters, etc)
Fast processing — allows for typical throughput time of 1.5 ms for a 500-instruction program
Built-in EEPROM memory — retains all of your ladder logic and data if the controller loses power, eliminating the need for battery back-up or separate memory module
RS-232 communication channel — allows for simple connectivity to a personal computer for program upload, download and monitoring using multiple protocols, including DF1 Full Duplex
RTU slave protocol support — use DF1 Half-Duplex Slave, which allows up to 254 notes to communicate with a single master using radio modems, leased-line modems or satellite uplinks
Product Design
The MicroLogix 1000 controller contains the power supply, processor, and all its I/O circuits
packaged in a single unit.
Four I/O sizes (10, 16, 25, and 32) cover many applications.
Various electrical configurations of digital I/O offer you a controller that meets your electrical requirements:
o 24V DC inputs and relay outputs with a 24V DC
power supply.o 24V DC inputs and 24V DC FET and relay outputs
with a 24V DC power supply.
o 24V DC inputs and relay outputs with a
120/240V AC power supply.o 24V AC inputs and relay outputs with a
120/240V AC power supply.o 120V AC inputs and relay outputs with a
120/240V AC power supply.o 120V AC inputs and triAC and relay outputs with
a 120/240V AC power supply. Isolated relay contact outputs (at least two per
controller). Allow outputs on the same unit to switch different control voltages.
The 25-I/O models include 4 analog inputs and an analog output in addition to the 12 digital inputs and the 8 digital (contact) outputs.
Communication
Point-to-Point—RS-232 communication port configurable for direct connection to your programming device.
DH-485—RS-232 communication port configurable for DH-485 communication through an AIC+ (1761-NET-AIC) converter. Lets you communicate with SLC 500 processors, other MicroLogix controllers, operator interfaces, or programming devices in a DH-485 network.
EtherNet/IP—RS-232 communication port configurable for EtherNet/IP communication through an EtherNet/IP-to-RS-232 interface (1761-NET-ENI). The 1761-NET-ENI supports program monitoring and upload/download, data collection from PCs or mainframes, and controller peer-to-peer communication. It can also send e-mail messages via SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), and can display status and configuration information through a built-in Internet server.
DeviceNet—RS-232 communication port configurable for communication through a DeviceNet interface (1761-NET-DNI) lets the controller function as a slave node in a DeviceNet network or as a peer to other controllers also using the 1761-NET-DNI interface.
DF1, half-duplex—RS-232 communication port configurable for DF1 half-duplex slave protocol for connection to a modem in SCADA applications.

RSLogix Emulate 500 Software
Test and debug all of your ladder logic programs prior to commissioning and startup. RSLogix Emulate 5, RSLogix Emulate 500 and RSLogix Emulate 5000 are Microsoft Windows-based software packages that emulate one or more PLC-5, SLC 500 or Logix5000 processors, respectively. You determine which PLC-5, SLC 500, Logix5000 ladder programs you want to run, and RSLogix Emulate scans the ladder logic like an actual processor. In addition, RSLogix Emulate 5000 has built-in support for all RSLogix 5000 supported languages such as ladder logic, function block, sequential function chart and structured text.
1763 MicroLogix 1100 Controllers
With online editing and a built-in 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP port for peer-to-
peer messaging, the MicroLogix 1100 controller adds greater connectivity
and application coverage to the MicroLogix family of Allen-Bradley
controllers. This next generation controller's built-in LCD screen displays
controller status, I/O status, and simple operator messages; enables bit and
integer manipulation; offers digital trim pot functionality, and a means to
make operating mode changes (Prog / Remote / Run).
With 10 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs and 6 digital outputs, the MicroLogix
1100 can handle a wide variety of tasks. The MicroLogix 1100 controllers
also support expansion I/O. Up to four 1762 I/O modules (also used on the
MicroLogix 1200 and 1400) may be added to the embedded I/O, providing
application flexibility and support of up to 80 digital I/O.
Features
Built-in 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP port for peer-to-peer messaging — offers users high speed connectivity between controllers, with the ability to access, monitor and program from anywhere an Ethernet connection is available
Online editing functionality — modifications can be made to a program while it is running, making fine tuning of an operating control system possible, including PID loops. Not only does this reduce development time, but it aids in troubleshooting
Embedded Web server — allows a user to custom configure data from the controller to be displayed as a web page
Isolated RS-232/RS-485 combo port — provides a host of different point-to-point and network protocols
Embedded LCD screen — allows user to monitor data within the controller, optionally modify that data, and interact with the control program. Displays status of embedded digital I/O and controller functions, and acts as a pair of digital trim pots to allow a user to tweak and tune a program

1761-NET-AIC AIC+ Advanced Interface Converter
Lets you connect a MicroLogix controller (or other DH-485 protocol-capable RS232-C device) to the DH-485 network. This allows the controller to initiate or respond to communication with any other device (SLC 500 processors, other MicroLogix controllers, operator interfaces, or programming devices) on the network. With the ability to initiate communication, the MicroLogix controller can act as a single initiator (also referred to as a master or parent) on the network.

DeviceNet RS-232-C Interface
Lets you connect a MicroLogix controller (or other DF1 Full-duplex addressable RS-232-C device) to the DeviceNet network. This allows the controller to function as a DeviceNet slave node to provide 16 words of input data and 16 words of output data that can be exchanged with the DeviceNet scanner. This also allows peer-to peer messaging between controllers. Lets you connect a PC-compatible computer to the DeviceNet network for peer-to-peer messaging, for programming, and for on-line monitoring.
