NEWS FEBRUARY 2014 1 co-opcabs.com crowntaxi.com JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2014 SON OF LONG-TIME CO-OP CABS DRIVER/OWNER SIDNEY BERNSTEIN SHARES SOME CO-OP HISTORY ONLINE Co-op Cabs often engages with our customers online through Facebook, Twitter, Yelp and You Tube. We often hear stories about great experiences in our cabs and sometimes we have the opportunity to rectify customer service experiences that don’t meet our standards. Recently, Michael Bernstein shared with us the photos below, that he had saved from many years ago when his father was a Co-op Cab driver. Sidney Bernstein, his father, became a Co-op driver in 1957. “For 10 years, my Dad wore his cap to work with pride & dignity. I used to get up at 6:30 a.m. to get ready to walk to school for early morning band practice. Some days, Dad would be in the kitchen having just come in from an all-nighter. We'd have a bite together, he'd go to bed & I'd go to school,” said Michael as he shared his bit of history with us on Facebook. Sidney was likely one of Co-op’s first drivers and also became a cab owner like many Co-op drivers. Thank you Michael for sharing your story with us. Co-op Cabs has a rish history in Toronto and it is thanks to our many dedicated drivers like Sidney.

In 2013, Co-op Cabs launched it’s new iPhone app and web-ordering system. Both were developed to give customers more ways to connect with Co-op quickly and easily.

At the end of last year, Co-op did an analysis of downloads and orders to date on both the web system and the iPhone app. We are pleased to report that Co-op’s overall orders have increased since these new systems were launched and downloads continue to grow.

Analysis shows that a high majority of people who have downloaded the app are using it on a regular basis. We have also seen the number of people connecting with Co-op on mobile devices grow significantly.

We encourage you to tell your friends and family about the Co-op iPhone app and web ordering system and to try it out yourself.

Ask customers if they have used these convenient systems yet and let them know about some of the benefits such as:

• Ordering a cab with the touch of a button

• Watching your cab arrive in real time and;

• Connecting with a driver directly
