Ziyarat
About Ziyarat
Ziyarat has its own philosophy. A person going to Hajj or Umra has so many places to visit in Mecca. One
of these sacred places is the place where Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) stood and made footprints on the stone.
This was his miracle. God wants to remind his worshippers not to forget the services and sacrifices of his
Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whom He gives the title Khalil (the friend). That is why he ordered them to pray on
this place, to put their foreheads down on the place where Ibrahim (AS) left his footprints and run between
the mountains of Safa and Marwa in the remembrance of sufferings of the family of Ibrahim (AS). In the
same way God likes that his worshippers and visitors of his house will pay full importance to the sacrifices
and sufferings of his last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) and his progeny. It means that Ziyarat is
worship for the believers.
Our Focus on Ziyarat
Keeping in view the importance of this segment in the tourism industry of Pakistan, Sonya Travels is quite
enthusiastic in promoting Ziyarat tour packages towards Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Since years
we have been rendering services for Ziyarat visitors but with the growing demand of these sacred
journeys, Sonya Travels has designed some special packages to fulfill your spiritual desires but
nevertheless the team of professionals is ready to prepare any tour package to suit your requirements.
We believe that pilgrimage is equally part of general tourism and it needs to be deeply focused to render
properly organized services for the spiritual travelers which will be a great service to our diversified
community. Southern Travels is striving hard to succeed in achieving excellence in this field.

Sikh PilgrimageThe futility of wandering to the so-called sacred places is amply illustrated by the life of Guru Amar Das.
Before he became Guru, he went on pilgrimages twenty times, without benefit.
He saw the light only when he finally met Guru Angad. (see Sakhi) The Gurus tried to remove the notion
of the efficacy of pilgrimage. Guru Nanak says: "I would like to go to pilgrimage only if it pleases God."
Elsewhere, he says: "My places of pilgrimage are to study 'The Word', and contemplating its divine
knowledge within me."
Guru Gobind Singh was very emphatic about the futility of pilgrimage. According to him, without God's
Name, such visits have not the slightest significance. Kabir sought God in the temple of his mind. He
therefore, migrated from Benaras, a well-known sacred city, to Magahar, a traditionally cursed town.
Pakistan for Sikh Pilgrimage
Pakistan is proud to claim that the most sacred Gurduwaras of Sikh religion are in today’s Pakistan.
Pakistan folk also feel proud to host Sikh Pilgrims in Pakistan from all over the world.

Hajj is one of the five "pillars" of Islam. Muslims are required to make the pilgrimage once in a lifetime, if
they are physically and financially able to make the sacred journey to Mecca.
Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص has said, "A person who circumambulates this House (the
Kaaba) seven times and performs the two Rak at Salat (of Tawaf) in the best form possible will have his
sins forgiven".
Every year, millions of Muslims from around the world make the journey to Mecca (Saudi Arabia) for the
pilgrimage (Hajj or Umrah). Dressed in the same simple white clothing to represent human equality, the
pilgrims gather to perform rites dating back to the time of Hazrat Abraham (AS).
Oh believers, lets devote part of our lives in the name of Allah and raise our hands in front of Kaaba
asking for His forgiveness, and wellbeing of our loved ones.
