Key Features • Component digital video format offers superb picture quality. 48kHz/16bit 2 CH mode or 32kHz/12bit 4 CH mode PCM audio enables CD quality audio recording capability. • A 123,200 pixel built-in LCD monitor for monitor- ing the camera picture, playback of the recorded picture, or viewing menu settings. The monitor can also display the levels for the four channels of audio. The audio levels can be viewed separately, or as an overlay above the picture. • Both VTRs accommodate the two industry stan- dard sizes of DVCAM and DV videocassette tapes; standard size and mini DV size. • A digital tape counter display is supplied on the front panel, convenient for performing relative time code data editing and monitoring the opera- tion of the unit. • Built-in color bar signal generators are accessible through the user menu. Both VTRs incor- porate many convenient features, such as DVCAM and DV format recording and playback, a 2-inch (viewable area, measured diagonally) LCD monitor for viewing content, audio levels, tape information and user menu selection, and automatic multiple voltage selection. In addition, LANC, Control S, and i.LINK ® * IEEE 1394 DV I/O connections are standard with the units, as well as IR control capability. These front-loading VTRs accept both standard and mini size cassettes.
