Paul and Barry visit a toy shop to buy some water

pistols. Whilst trying them out they notice a toy

space ship which they get in. ‘Don’t touch

anything!’ the shop keeper shouts, ‘especially that

button!’. ‘This button?’ they ask. ‘Yes’ he replies,

as they press the button and accidentally go into

space on a new adventure! Fun for all the family!

Spring & Summer this year welcomes back old favourites

The Johnny Cash Roadshow, Grimethorpe Colliery Band,

Roy Orbison & Friends and That’ll Be the Day.

New for 2014 we are thrilled to welcome Nigel Kennedy,

Paul Hollywood, The Bugle Boy D-Day tour and blues

legend John Mayall - we have something for everyone

at STCC!

This year we have joined forces with one of the country’s

top pantomime producers, Imagine Theatre to bring you

Sleeping Beauty this Christmas. With a star studded

cast to be announced soon, book your seats early for

what promises to be a fabulous family pantomime -

not to be missed!

But don’t forget we are a multi-purpose venue! We offer

superb facilities for conferences, weddings, banqueting

World-famous violinist, Nigel Kennedy, presents a

typically maverick musical programme celebrating

the music of Bach as well as other brilliant

composers that have influenced Kennedy. The

concert begins with Bach sonatas and partitas for

solo violin, after which he is joined by an acoustic

guitarist, a snare drum and a double bass to

perform Kennedy’s own arrangements of the music

of the legendary Fats Waller, Brubeck, as well as

other composers and classical cross over pieces.

Sleeping Beauty is an enchanting mix of music, magic, adventure

and pantomime fun with bags of audience participation.

This year, for the first time, pantomime is brought to Southport by

one of the country’s top pantomime producers, Imagine Theatre,

with a script written by the BAFTA Award winning writing

team of Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton.

Princess Belle is cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse so that on her

18th birthday she will prick her finger upon a spinning wheel and die.

Azuriel, the good fairy alters the spell that sends the princess into

an enchanted sleep which will last for one hundred years. The only

way she can be awoken is by a kiss from her one true love.

Join Nurse Nanny Nora, Josh the Jester and the dashing Prince

Valiant as they battle with dragons and time machines to ensure
