Election Regulations 1 General 1.1 The elections of the Club Committee and any other elected officers of the Club (“Elections”) shall be carried out in accordance with these regulations. 1.2 The Club’s Committee shall implement the Election process. 1.3 The Elections shall be by a show of hands or secret ballot of all Ordinary & Honorary Members of the Association. 2 Nominations 2.1 All Ordinary Members are eligible to stand as a candidate for election. 2.2 Candidates may stand for election to more than one post within the same election but can only hold one Club Committee Position at any time. 3 Election 3.1 The Elections shall be held as a standing feature of the AGM. 3.2 Nominations will be requested within the AGM for each Position in turn; 3.2.1 A member can be nominated by another member for a Position or a Member can nominate themselves, but this must be seconded by another member. 3.3 Once all nominations of candidates have been received the Vote will be taken by all members for each candidate (apart from the AGM Chair)

Election Regulations

1 General

1.1 The elections of the Club Committee and any other elected officers of the Club (“Elections”) shall be carried out in accordance with these regulations.

1.2 The Club’s Committee shall implement the Election process.

1.3 The Elections shall be by a show of hands or secret ballot of all Ordinary & Honorary Members of the Association.

2 Nominations

2.1 All Ordinary Members are eligible to stand as a candidate for election.

2.2 Candidates may stand for election to more than one post within the same election but can only hold one Club Committee Position at any time.

3 Election

3.1 The Elections shall be held as a standing feature of the AGM.

3.2 Nominations will be requested within the AGM for each Position in turn;

3.2.1 A member can be nominated by another member for a Position or a Member can nominate themselves, but this must be seconded by another member.

3.3 Once all nominations of candidates have been received the Vote will be taken by all members for each candidate (apart from the AGM Chair)

3.4 In the Event of a tied Vote the AGM Chair’s Vote will be made.

3.5 In the event that not all posts are filled at the AGM at any time a member can be nominated to the role by Members at a Regular Meeting with the Acting title attributed to the role until the next opportunity to Elect the person at the next AGM or EGM.

4 Administration

4.1 The AGM Chair shall administer the count with the assistance of other Club Committee Members but no candidate to a position being counted cannot be involved in the count.

5 Complaints and Appeals

5.1 The procedure for the consideration of complaints relating to Elections shall be as follows:

5.1.1 no one involved in a candidate’s nomination shall be involved in the appeals procedure;

5.1.2 only complaints by a candidate or one of his nominators shall be considered;

5.1.3 complaints shall be submitted to the Club Committee for consideration; and

5.1.4 the Club Committee shall investigate any complaint and shall decide what action shall be taken including the disqualification of any candidate concerned or the annulment of the election.
