The Southwest OB-GYN Ultrasound Symposium offers advanced ultrasound topics for bothphysicians and sonographers who perform or interpret ob-gyn ultrasound exams. A superb faculty has been assembled to present the current state-of-the-art methods.This course emphasizes3-dimensional ultrasound including applications of real-time 3-D fetal echocardiography,confirmation of normal anatomy, detection/ interpretation of facial and other fetal anomalies,use of parental-initiated 3-D ultrasound, and gyn applications of 3-D ultrasound in evaluationof the pelvis and uterus. Screening for fetal anomalies and chromosome abnormalities in boththe first and second trimesters is also highlighted. Other topics include interesting cases, ultra-sound evaluation of syndromes, borderline ultrasound findings, new concepts in twin pregnancies,and modern management of twin complications. Panel discussions will ensure that questionsand controversial areas will be addressed.
